The biggest problem is everyone wants to read and understand about Advaita or God
Then they want to “meditate”. They go to a teacher who impresses them with information
And follow them
But they never go anywhere.
The biggest step between information and going to higher level is awakening of Shakti
So now like an obedient parrot , they go and read up on Shakti awakening and imagine they have it !!
Amazing isn’t it?
They never bothered to verify their Guru! Truth is That awakening has many step’s and amazing experiences. These experiences are out of the world and verifiable. But instead of making progress people want to hero worship their Guru. Justify their Guru by filling in with lies. They would rather fall and remain trapped than find a true Guru and path. And that is the problem
In their rush , they look for a Guru who is famous. They want to give money to that person. In the name of charity.
The path is very difficult. It takes constant effort and attention of the Guru. You will need his help every step of the way. He needs to be there for you personally. Customize the teaching to your own flaws. Everyone gets stuck in different ways
Usually a Guru will have a handful of disciples. Even that is a big number.
He is not interested in many. Just a few who are genuine.
