His commentary explanation of Gita for chapter 4 – shlokas 26 onwards is extraordinary.   He calls them the three types of yagna 

Dravya yagna – objects of senses are withdrawn

Tapo yagna – the senses are withdrawn 

Yagno- yagna   the central ego is withdrawn

In reality these are the steps to purity and liberating subtle body from gross body. 
If the subtle body does not appear immediately the disciple should work harder on purity

These steps are difficult and only those given a gift from a guru can reach these levels

These things cannot be understood. Only experienced.
