Lucky

Who is the luckiest person?

So there is no simple answer to it. We are all lucky in our own way. We have been blessed to have good friends, family, money and in some aspect more than other categories

However the ungrateful mind always looks at things it does not have – wish I had a little more money, or wish my family was more supportive etc

But,but the mind compares with other families

And we read news and we hear about popular movie stars, rich men like Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos, Ambani

Then we wish we had a little more money or things in our life

So where do you put yourself?

Maybe I am arrogant. Maybe I am foolish and stupid. Or a combination of above

I see them all as unfortunate. Inspite of having all, what they don’t have is God! Resting in God and having his blessings is very different. I think of great Saints such as St Francis of Assissi, Paramhansa Yogananda, swami Vivekananda and they are the true lucky ones

I do not even talk of the even higher beings such as Babaji, Mohangiri Maharaj, Neem Karoli Baba, Ramkrishna Paramhansa – they are God or even “higher” than “God”

So in short true fortune is having the blessings of these higher beings, meeting them, being their disciples AND having a true inner desire of wanting only God

If you have a desire to teach others or want money or good looks or fortune or being a leader, or to be popular – even if you have met a higher being it you WASTED your life.

This is very rare. Deep down, no one can desire God to such a degree that they sit in meditation for days together
