Gone -2

So the last poem was about “death”.

When you read it, you know I talked about death. And your happy

But why did I call the man blind?

I called him blind because he had no direct experience of what happens when the body functions ceases. How did the soul depsrt the body, what happened to it, where did the soul go.

Yes you can Google it. Or go and ask someone. Or they will open the religious book of choice and feel convinced based on it that they know the truth. And then feel important and feel wise. I consider these people blind.

Then some don’t believe in the soul. Great. Less headaches and debate. I consider them blind too. They never made an effort to discern the truth

Now. Here is a subtle secret. Why do the people who believe in the soul act so adamantly? It is because they have past experience. With the grace of God that memory has been erased. No matter what the fine imprints of the past, sometimes gives us an inner conviction.

This brings us to the next part of the poem. Those who are not blind.
