God can often imply a tyrannical figure who hands out rewards and punishment, overseeing billions of people all day and night. What a lousy job.
Sacchidananda is much better word
It is 3 words united together
Sat – meaning imperishable. Always existent immortal. ( generally people think sat meaning good. That is because they equate sat with satwa guna)
Chit – who wants existence with knowledge of existence? This means self awareness.
Amanda : Joy.
Thus sacchidananda means being aware of self as bliss and that existence is beyond time
Since that state is Beyond time – the word used is sat rather than immortal
Now that is the perfect description of Samadhi. That is self. That is God. That is joy. That is bliss.
