Interesting question, isn’t it?
Did somehow your karma inspire your parents?
When does the soul enter the body? At birth ? At conception? Somewhere in between?
And if the body has say blindness- how did your karma influence the body to be blind?
Or is there a magistrate or / judge out there saying – your a terrible soul and now I am going to punish you with a body having problems?
See you yourself judge your self and create your own destiny And are the executioner However you have to be at a very high level to realize how you created your own problems. Once the body is created – the karma with that body has to be borne out. Yogananda could not get out of it
Ramana maharshi could not either. He suffered from severe arthritis – disabling throughout his life
Vivekananda had severe asthma
Yogananda has back problems and eventually had gait problems
Saint Francis was blind
Yet without complaining they let the karma work it out in the body. In fact physical ailment for karma is far easier than to endure emotional pain and anguish.
Just ask yourself would you rather be sick for. A few years or in jail? In both cases you are confined !
So wherever problems you have – smile. In fact if your smile is 100% genuine karma gets burnt quickly.
Yet skillfully , I have not written how karma creates the body. If only you knew , you would leave the world and wish for a quiet life in the Forrest with no one around , no one ever visiting you, including your spouse, kids or parents or friends
