Ramayana story – Sanjeevini

So Rama was in a battle with Ravana, Indrajita
Indrajita is the son of Ravana. It is a long battle. Indrajita has three different weapons that were given to him : brahmastra, Narayan Astra and pashupatastra and he was given a boon by brahma that only a person who had eaten fruits for 14 years could defeat him

Indrajita used Shakti on laxman and laxman fell unconscious! He had to be revived. The great rishi vidya said there is a special herb which can revive him

Hanuman says he can fly to Himalayas and get it. Seeing an abundance of the herb Hanuman brings the whole mountain. Some say he did not recognize the correct herb

Later the battle continues. Indrajit chattier is destroyed. Then four monkeys Pramathi, Rabhasa, Sharabha and Gandhamadana, kill the horses of Indrajit. And finally Indrajit is destroyed

There is a lot more to the story. Each word and part of it relates to mediation

I can give a few highlights

1. Indrajit – Indra means senses the 5 senses of the body which trap everyone. Smell, touch ( sex ) hearing, food or taste and sight. Ajit means that which wins or prevails always
   It is very difficult to win over the senses. You see a pretty woman or man the senses get stimulated. More so with food.

2. The senses hurl shakti. Laxman becomes unconscious. So when One tries to win the senses , even in deep mediation there is Sudden memory of senses. I am hungry or want sex or want to travel And the mediation becomes lifeless a failure. What is to be done?
3. So Hanuman is told by divine guidance to deepen the mediation. How, there are herbs in the mountain which can revive! The mountain is brahmanadi inside Himalaya ( Himalaya is sushumna nadi ). Hanuman says great let me give experience of brahmanadi to Laxman. This revived Laxman
4. The charioteer – the mind is destroyed first. Then Pramathi, Rabhasa, Sharabha and Gandhamadana,are for experiences in mediation that destroy the horses More about it later maybe. Finally Indrajit is killed. Meaning, the desires of the body no longer are a problem
5. 14 years of simple attitude – eating simple food and not getting tempted by sex is needed.
6. The Pramathi, Rabhasa, Sharabha and Gandhamadana,are essential steps in mediation before final victory. They are names of the monkey. But refer to a few divine experiences
