Buddha

Nowadays there is much talk on mindfulness

They often try to climb to glory by quoting Buddha

“There is nothing more dreadful than the habit of doubt. Doubt separates people. It is a poison that disintegrates friendships and breaks up pleasant relations. It is a thorn that irritates and hurts; it is a sword that kills.”

Then Buddha says

Doubt everything. Find your own light.”

Then he says

“Whatever a monk keeps pursuing with his thinking and pondering, that becomes the inclination of his awareness.”

Generally people grasp these statements in the wrong way.  Both statements about doubt refer to the exact same thing.  In one instance he says doubt everything and then says doubt is your enemy

And whatever aspect of doubt you believe becomes your awareness !

True awareness is when you begin to understand that all three statements are identical

I will end by a quote from Buddha – if the scriptures agree with me then they may be worth something !
