Virginia Pastor passes from covid

A pastor in Virginia passes away from Covid. He was defiant. He has faith. And inspite of lock down held service in March. He believed his faith would save him and God is mightier than the virus.
But yet he got afflicted and pased away.

So what is happening? Did faith betray him? Or was it bad karma because he broke the law? Or does God not exist?

Interesting issue isn’t it?
The problem lies with this. His faith was illusionary. What I mean is that one may believe he has faith. When you keep reading certain things eventually you start believing in it. Even though it may or may not be true. Some entire religions are based on this. This is not the place for me to analyze any religion. But self hypnosis or hypnotic suggestions are not sufficient to break the laws of God and science. This was the error

Faith is something much deeper. We have in our mind – deeply etched in the laws of nature. You throw a ball up it will fall down. Or you put your hand in fire and it will burn. But there is faith. That is faith that the laws of nature do not apply to me. It is very very deep. I do not have it. I very much struggle with it.

Lal ded – merged into fire and came out wearing the finest clothes. There is one other person I know who has that faith ( passed away ). He could turn off rain and on like a switch. But such faith is indeed rare.

To abolish it takes much practice. But it can be done.

This is what Yogananda said

This is not easy but it can be done

When you think “you can succeed” think it do deeply that you can drive out any notion of failure. If nine times you try to succeed but you fail, still you can try the tenth time! Do not give up, never admit failure!

Sri Sri paramhansa Yogananda ( how to be victorious in life )

Sadly in matters of Covid virus you don’t get 10 chances. Remember God may help you but he won’t help you when you deliberately put your yourself in harms way
