Loyalty to a spiritual custom without sincerity and conviction is hypocrisy. Loyalty to the spirit of a custom even without clinging to a form is wisdom. But loyalty neither to spiritual custom, nor principle, nor teacher is spiritual degeneration. Stand by God and His servant, and you will see His hand working through all things.
— Paramahansa Yogananda
The answer is no
Some people practice. Practice daily. But they are not sincere about the practice. It is mechanical. Maybe they do it because they were told to do it. They are afraid to give up because something bad may Be fell them. Their belief is not there
What Do I Mean by spiritual custom? Like sitting in mediation. Or pranayama etc Many May start. Few will cling to it for years after years. Before they give you they start having doubts. Their mind begins to cast doubts. They doubt the practice. The teacher. And finally they fall away from the practice.
Now in many cases, people should doubt and not follow. If the teacher is not real. Not a true Guru. But those who follow such a fake Guru will find it difficult to leave them. Why ? Such fake Guru have many disciples who will keep you enmeshed in a culture or recruitment and give you positions! It is an institute
Pure progress is for self. Not for an institute. Your only supporters are the handful of others in the path. And scriptures. Scriptures require a Guru to interpret it in the yogic light.
Right now very few of the scriptures have the yogic interpretation. It has been hidden. You will find a logical explanation. But is there anyone who can tell you what chakra Nachiketa refers to?
