This is shloka 16
kaveendraanaam chaetah kamalavana baalaat ava ruchim
bhajantae yaesa sah katichid arunaam aeva bhavateem
virinchi praeyasyaas taruna tara sringaara laharee
gabheera abhir waagbir vidadhati sataam ranjanamamee. 16
This shloka reveals two secret siddhis in a yogi – how to separate the subtle body from the gross body and development of vaak sidhi or ability of spoken words to become true
Kavi refers to a yogi with that siddhi
Vaagbir refers vaak siddhi. Gabheera means deep contemplative secret.
Abhir means he nears it and vidadhati giving out
All these siddhi are for the pleasure of a yogi
The literal translation if you look it up by scholars – stupidly of course – will say goddess gives them the ability to recite poetry
This shloka by shankaracharya – how could he be interested in the gift of reciting poetry ?
He was a yogi. Every word he gave out was in a deeper meaning referring to secrets of yoga
How these siddhis develop – the shloka hands out a few secrets. They could be learnt at the feet of a yogi. That is my version.
There are extremely few people who want god just for his love and want nothing NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING from this world. No fame no acknowledgement of their yoga or siddhi, no money, no disciple, no wine or sex
They usually live their life in seclusion unknown to all. Remaining unknown to all
