Most people pray for some material benefits and having a hardship free life
THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN – HARDSHIP FREE LIFE
Constantly – you will be bombarded by hardship and pain – physical , emotional, spiritual pain. Always
In fact if you are progressing rapidly and truly your hardship will be significantly more.
The world is a hell – the hell of duality. The hell of twins. You ask for fame and at some point in life this or in future you may get it but you will get the pain of ignominy. Ask for money and you will endure poverty. The list is endless
Truly , everyone will face economic hardship once or twice in their life time. No exceptions.
So why do the evil people have more happiness compared to those who are nicer?
Because those who are nice are trying to empty their bag of karma. So all the past karma come out ! Since generally bad karma are more common more pain is endured
Now of course there are tricks and techniques of shortening it but only a true guru can give you specifics in each individual case
Vivekananda has written a few lines on this in his inspired talks. Just reading his lines can bring comfort.
Without a guru chances that an individual collapses ( alcohol , drugs, anti depressants) during hardship is very high
