Repent

In the Bible , the word repent has been used. Most people think repent means regret or feeling sorry or bad about things we did

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that he will forgive your sins. (Acts 3:19)

There are about 10 significant quotes in the Bible.

One of the quotes refer to confessing the sin. Thus the catholic tradition of confession started.

However no matter how much we “repent” we still have pain in our heart and in life

It seems our sins are not forgiven and we continue to endure pain

When we accept Christ and our sins are forgiven , why do we still suffer ? Doesn’t end of sin mean happiness ?

Is the Bible wrong? Are we repenting wrong? Is our understanding flawed ?

Yes, true some people have transient success but it is short lived. And then people give up or loose faith

This does not apply for everyone but it maybe true for many

Without going into too much detail – I can guide the reader to the Holy Science where Sri Yukteshwar writes the correct technique of repenting

It is similar to what is written in Uttar Gita
