Sincerity

“Spiritual practice is a subject of faith, sincerity, surrender, and continuity.” Vishnu Tirth Majaraj. Second Dawn.

In my opinion this sentence might be the hardest to grasp

Sincerity refers to the clear and sole desire to reach God. An occasional desire to reach God can’t carry us all the way. That passion for God must be very intense. Intense to such a degree that everything in this world is otherwise painful since I do not have you my dear loving God. What use is the wealth if I do not have God? What use is the food on the table when I don’t have God? What use are books and scriptures when I don’t have God? What use is this or any other blog when I don’t have God? What use is someone liking what I write if I don’t have God? What use is praise, or anything in this world of I don’t have God

That clarity in the heart, that exclusive sincere desire and all effort to get there is the first step of sincerity!

Ramkrishna would cry incessantly and rub his face on the ground crying for God

How I wish I had a millionth of his sincerity!

And that in my opinion is sincere desire for God.

Sincere effort to get God is even more difficult
