Family

The happiness of one’s own heart alone cannot satisfy the soul; one must try to include, as necessary to one’s own happiness, the happiness of others.

~ Sri Paramahansa Yogananda

This may seem incorrect at first. After all why would a hungry starving person in Africa Make the soul unhappy? Or a child crying for a chocolate candy in USA Make the soul unhappy ( we are all children asking for our candy). Someone else not getting things or suffering from health issues or other things – how does it bother the soul?

The fact that it is not very clear means we do not have the connection with the soul. Or it is very limited

So let’s say something happened to an immediate family member. And you care for the person. Would you not have anguish? Of course you would.
And if you had an even deeper connection, you could actually feel the pain of your family member

But our own limitations prevents us from realizing the universal connection with everyone ! So the great saints, constantly, incessantly help others. When this is reached, you are permitted not to marry. Otherwise, one should marry, learn to feel connection with others – give up selfishness. Learn to sacrifice ourself for family. It is part of spiritual growth. Yes you may succumb to desires of the body, but until your ready to feel love for everyone, take up other people pain as your own, we have our life lessons to learn
