Todays blog will be brief.
A few more points on Sankalpa. An exercise in liberation and getting your sankalpa perfected.
Remember : Sankalpa is done without any desire.
The higher the person the more immediate the results of Sankalpa.
This entire world is the Sankalpa of God.
All interactions between people and the eventual results are based on whose Sankalpa or will is stronger.
This explains why Vasistha Maharaj was so great. His wife was Arundhati. The meaning of Arundhati is one who does not suffocate someone else. She always agreed with ANY sankalpa Vasistha had. Thus the power of his Sankalpa was higher. This is what I learned from Dineshbhai Bhatt.
As Yogananda said, “All one has to will I am free and you will be free” This is the power of a true Sankalpa. (ref. crystal publishers in one of the books by his disciples )
However, this is not seen to occur because the moment our Sankalpa says I am free, there are a million small arguments from the intellect, a sense of elation from the chitt and a sense of superiority from ego. If you can get rid of these three things when you will or do Sankalpa that I am free, you will be free.
The entire process of Yoga is to get rid of all the clamour created by the ego, chitta, intellect and mind.
This was the process that Sanatkumar taught Narada
Start off by doing sankalpa or will in changing your own intellect. Tell it not to intervene and the intellect should become silent and merely receptive. Like it is said in Hanuman Chalisa – Buddihin tanu jani – Oh God Hanuma please know I am without intellect. Not to use your intellect at all in meditation is a very high stage. Before you can stop the intellect, first you must get rid of the doubts. This corresponds to the muladhar (like Yogananda said in Bhagvad Gita – savitarka savikalpa samadhi). When you silence the intellect, it is called Suvichar savikalpa samadhi. This corresponds to swadhisthana. When our petty human intellect ceases, su meaning good vichar meaning thoughts – meaning divine thoughts begin to emerge.
Then you will be faced with silencing the chitta or emotions. Learn to do Sankalpa and tell all your emotions no matter what they are to be silenced! Stand aside from those emotions. (Like the process described in Bhagvada Gita, Kapil muni, Vivekananda and Aurobindo) This corresponds to Sananada Savikalpa samadhi. This corresponds to Manipur chakra. When you can silence your own emotions, the real joy begins to slowly emerge.
In the above three steps, a disciple does NOT feel any movement of the prana. It is only after the manipur chakra is turned upwards, does the prana begin to ascend.
Once you can do this then you will, then you will in time learn to have control over the prana in your body.
Once you have control over the prana, you can make it ascend through the brahmanadi and receive true Wisdom – like Jesus said, My father and I are one!
The above steps were written perfectly by a Yogi who lived about 100 years ago in South India. His name was Yogi Darshan. Try to get that book!
Sanatkumar told Narada – Do Sankalpa for the love of God and liberation. When you first do Sankalpa, it will initially stimulate the chitta, desires, intellect, emotions and ego. They arise so you can get rid of them and know yourself to be the pure soul.
Another book that is worthwhile reading is Book of Mirdad. It is a book that relates to Noahs Guru. The account of Noah or Manu is true.
