Progress is like this. Most of the time what we understand and think is not the final answer. When you go further you realize that your understanding was flawed Sadly very few make progress and live many many lives stuck with wrong concepts

Thus I now see many books by some spiritually advanced was incomplete

Vivekananda said it the best – we go from lower truth to higher truth !

Let us suppose there is a soul. We don’t know for sure. But many claim there is a soul. Based on movies and imagination, we can imagine it to be a speck of light, an ephereal entity or a something similar to the gross body.

Whatever it is when it leaves the body, it is alone. Yes at some point we may encounter other souls. But it won’t be immediate. Unless you have a powerful guru or terrific karma, the delay until you meet someone you know is painful. That passage, which people call hell is worse than we can imagine.

Everyone passes through it ( unless you have a great Guru or your very pure ) and worse of all your alone.

While living, we think we have friends and family. Yet when in pain, they can’t take the emotional pain away. Support yes but not take the pain. So once again your alone. And if they are a Yogi they can help you during the time of transition

In any event learn to be alone. I mean really alone. Without even the company of your thoughts or emotions

There are two kinds of people in this world. Those who spend and those who collect.

Mostly this world is full of spenders. They come spend immensely and leave as beggars. Why? They are selfish , don’t think they will come back, want to enjoy every minute of life and leave. They want to control others.

This class includes the misery people. They want to have a fortune in their Bank. They still are spenders. They have spent all their fortune

Some are collectors. They collect a lot. But hardly spend. Examples are bill Gates, mother Theresa , etc

Which category do you belong to ?

Of course there’s is a deeper meaning. But based on the deeper meaning – even Gates is a spender

I should explain the words in my last poem

Beggar : ANYONE with desires is a beggar. Because they are constantly seeking ways to have it fulfilled. Some may pray and others will resort to manipulative behavior. And at times it may take hundreds or thousands of births before desire is fulfilled

Maya :. Illusions. It will constantly delude you into wanting more. Even things such as revenge or wanting more pleasurable things.

Satan : manipulative part of Maya :. Giving you even Siddhi which is still binding

Thy name :. aspect of God

A beggar in a beggars world

Seeking bread, riches and name

Oh what a shame

I had lost all including thy name

I begged for eons

Caught in Mayas web

Satan laughed as I begged

Giving morsels and a debt

Finally I had enough

Found my guru

He gave me thy name

Over is thy game

Oh Maya heed

No longer do I plead

I run away from riches

from Bread and name

All that you offer

I hate it all

I walk free no longer begging

Your game is over!

A TV anchor once asked Martina Navratilova, “How do you maintain your focus and manage to keep playing, even at the age of 43? ”

Her suave response was, “The ball doesn’t know how old I am.

In his excellent book, Stillpower, Sports Psychologist Garret Kramer says that a key factor to performing well in sports (and in life), is your ability to control the quality and quantity of your “internal dialogue”.

Performance = Potential – internal interference

In other words, you need to stop yourself from stopping yourself.

Sports, fitness, business and indeed Life are played on a 6-inch ground … the space between our own two ears!

Yes it is yoga – only if you can master it going within. After you master within then you can do it on the outside

Today, a friend of mine made a statement – wish I could occasionally just be in a cave

As usual, I did not explain things. However, I told her a flaw in her thinking. One should want to be in a cave all the time and not just occasionally. If there is an occasional desire for the cave, it means we want to be in the world a lot. We have desires to talk, interact with people and want material things.

So, one should want to be in the cave all the time

But was is a cave? Where is it?

This is one line from Gurudev, describing the real cave. Similarly Lahiri mahashaya called the cave, Kutastha. Kabir called it a cave

This cave is located in the forehead between the eyes. This is the location of the third eye.

Of course, there is no cave or third eye in the forehead. But thats where the experience starts.

I cant share more !

So what is the higher power ? Who is God ? Pure consciousness or Para shiv? Oh so it Shakti ?

The error in the above statement is there are many levels above the root thought of I. Those levels are described by Yukteshwar Giri in the holy science. In mukta shastra it has been described in many pages.

Again be careful. The thought of I or ego Is not the ego of body or even the thought of having a body. It is something before.

If the game was that obvious everyone would get there

It is extremely subtle

I recently saw a video about theory of karma and past life.. From what’s app. This video may spread like wild fire. All you have to do is add the word Guru or something like that and anything you say you will find tens of thousands of dollars or maybe a few million

This is my take on it but before I start,

For the most part – people have preconceived ideas and concepts – and they gravitate to believing anything that supports their thinking.

Again I may be doing the same thing and it is possible that my reaction to certain things is based on preconceived ideas. For the most part I have tried to analyze things – maybe some of the critical thinking comes from being in medical field – and I seek scientific truth and also confirm things by personal experience

Back to hypnosis and past life. MEDICAL SCIENCE DOES NOT ACCEPT HYPNOSIS AS A VALID TOOL FOR PAST LIFE REGRESSION IT IS FILLED WITH FANTASY WITHOUT A SHRED OF EVIDENCE

In fact even regression into childhood memories is not accepted since the mind fills in data with fantasy.

So in the video the speaker says – btw she is a “Guru” of Rajyoga – research is going on ! What a joke ! Medical science states it is dangerous and should not be used ! There is no research going on!

Ok let’s move forward – the speaker moves forward and states that everyone is in a lot of God ! What nonsense. Those who sin, I mean commit serious crimes will not see the light of God Again, a sinner just because he or she does not have a body does not cause a change in heart and feel oh why did I Rob my neighbour of 20$ I should leave the light of God and punish myself either That is illogical.

This the speaker says the person where he will take birth! Amazing in that case that more than half of the people in this world decide they want to take birth decide with very poor parents, or drug addict parents or with parents with genetic diseases!

Oh really ? Why do they not decide to take birth at bill Gates or Ambani ?

Anyway there might be more in the video but my thinking difers I stopped watching

So what really happens at death? Is there really another birth? Is there evidence ? Is there heaven ? Is there hell?

I have said in a few of my blogs about re birth and heaven or hell. Yogananda , Buddha, Vivekananda all talked about their past life. Jesus said in the Bible – hinted about his past life as Elijah too !

Yet it does not mean much. One should experienced it themselves in deep meditation.

But it is not so easy to go beyond Maya – remove the veil – to see your past. You can make any claim. You can believe anything you like. But be sensible. Don’t believe the great trickster. Your own mind

Even enlightened beings – when they write books – they veil many secrets.   Even the things they write , they write it in a slanted way – that is by hiding the real meaning

If you put all the books together and sum up the knowledge it is less than one percent of the wisdom from an enlightened person.

Yoga is about direct perception.   It has nothing to do with intellectual understanding.   What is the point of saying shivohum or sohum or I am the soul when you have never freely experienced yourself repeatedly as pure consciousness – without the body ?!

The greatest progress can be achieved only if you truly want the experience, not want anything in the world and you have a true Guru

The sign of a true Guru – one with experience – he can give a yogic interpretation of anything in the scriptures – something NEVER written before

Like I have said – most people imagine progress. Most are stuck in physical body. Rarely does someone go to to subtle body

The problem is Maya has left the soul so non descript that ANYONE CAN IMAGINE THE SOUL and think they have achieved salvation

LET THIS BE A WARNING. UNLESS AND UNTIL YOU HAVE MASTERY OVER ALL THERE BODIES YOU HAVE NOT ACHIEVED SALVATION

It is unwise to imagine that you have reached God and ready to be a guru without repeated experience of going beyond all three

Even beyond three bodies there are multiple steps but those steps are so staggering that only a guru of the caliber of Gorakhnath can help

The work is long. Like Vivekananda said ” arise awake and stop not till they goal is reached”

Being a false guru has tremendous amount of suffering that they endure in future births. Just like the rich who do not share their wealth

I see many – they smile now only to have a sad future knowing not that rising in fame or fortune on the back of others is a sin

So, when the world was very young, people in general were very confused. They had no idea what is the norm and how they should live. In India, there was a very pure person named Nandi. He was so pure, it was easy for him to go to Lord Shiv and talk with him. So the people appointed him to go and ask Lord Shankar, how often they should bathe and eat.

Lord Shankar guided him and said, that simple. Bathe 3 times and eat once. So, Nandi kept reciting it and did not want to get it mixed up. Unfortunately maya had it in such a way, Nandi forgot and came back and told the people, eat 3 times and bathe once!

There, now you have it. This is how people became obese.

PS : Nandi was so pure that Lord Shankar gave him the body of “pothiyo” a bull. The tradition is the bull is always outside the Shiv temple. Before entering one has to touch the back of the bull and then look at Lord Shiv first between the two ears of Nandi and then one can enter.

It is a wonderful story about how to meditate. It is delightful to understand the real significance of it

There are widespread disasters

spreading havoc in the world e.g.,

famine and pestilence.

What is the cause of this state of affairs?

M.:

To whom does all this appear?

Q.:

That won’t do. I see misery around.

M.:

You were not aware of the world and its sufferings

in your sleep;

you are conscious of them in your wakeful state.

Continue in that state

in which you were not afflicted by these.

That is to say,

when you are not aware of the world,

its sufferings do not affect you.

When you remain as the Self,

as in sleep,

the world and its sufferings

will not affect you.

Therefore look within.

See the Self!

There will be an end of the world

and its miseries.

Q.:

But that is selfishness.

M.:

The world is not external.

Because you identify yourself wrongly with the body

you see the world outside,

and its pain becomes apparent to you.

But they are not real.

Seek the reality and get rid

of this unreal feeling.

Can you accept his answer ? For what Maharshi was saying is something after all your karma is destroyed. So even when you read his answer you will not be able to accept it – it appears very selfish.

These great saints – when they see suffering – they remain unmoved – even with their own suffering. But at the same time destroy the karmas of others by absorbing it. They are the most caring.

I have witnessed this many times in such exalted saints

THE FOOLS OF THE WORLD CANNOT SEE OR UNDERSTAND WHAT A GURU DOES AND CAN DO. WHAT IS DONE BY THEM IS FAR MORE THAN TALK.

If you think going to huge yoga conventions, lectures by people who “wake Shakti”, or going to gatherings with meditation training you will miss the boat. If you really wish progress sincerely pray to God to send a guide. Don’t waste time with other activity. When even taking a breath is painful because you don’t have such a Guru, then and only then does God send a guru. The intense passion and need for finding a Guru must be there!

Otherwise the guru can be right in front of your eyes and you will walk away with nothing! He can only help when you want to wake up! The moment you think you can wake up on your own, you can use book knowledge or blog knowledge to wake up he lets you continue your efforts – and smiles. He sees a child playing with his toys.

So much has been written. No one asks !

Gods Grace is everywhere. He really wants you to come back

If die some reason there is a delay – no problem. Find a guru. He can tell you exactly where your stuck. If you follow his wisdom progress is very fast

However your firm ego will prevent you from following his wisdom

Recently someone sent me a chart of the lineage of Babaji. Such lineage are promoted so the existing people can look great

I have scoured the world to find someone extra ordinary. They exist but not on public lime light. They remain totally hidden from everyone – but Grace the world constantly – saving the world million times over – and they at times they come out to help an advanced truly aspiring disciple. So advanced that he knows that all he knows and experienced was false or wrong

We are not there yet. We have strong beliefs which we cannot get rid of

Belief that you have a body. Etc

Very rarely do people come out like Yogananda or Vivekananda – or Ramtirth. Spread the word and disappear. Their mission was to spread awareness. Not really disciples.

I see many people trying to get there. But they already know too much. They cannot be helped. Sad.

That’s true for most of the readers here. I look back at realize I perhaps was the most ignorant, egotistic , worthless disciple ever. Those mistakes will not happen again

How great was Gurudev that he tolerated me knowing someday the diamond may come out

I will work hard for that

I know your faults. I have committed then a million times over.

May the blessings of the great ones fall upon all – for they alone sustain the universe

Clothes on top of clothes Oh! What a joke!

Remove one Live life in shame

Shed two, there’s no one like you.

Flowing water creates heat

Stop the flow and live in peace

Thats my home but the rest roam

They live outside , in bitter cold

Five layers of clothes , yet chilly cold

Take your pick heated home or cold

Gurus Grace , cut Bhavin lace

With surrender he hears the thunder

Many disciples are lost. Confused. They feel the need to listen to the greatness of their lineage – almost like they need it to continue on that path

Many stories are there. Like that Kabir reincarnated in 20th century as Lahiri

Or Babaji was Krishna

Or Shirdi Sai baba belonged to a path

Or there are immortal saints in another path

This may or may not be true. But what is true it’s that your ego – thinking I belong to this path with many great saints will only hurt you. Good only wants your love

It is sad. When you have full surrender to your living Guru you will realize he is greater than any of the stories above. You will quickly know the true path others had in the past

Until then feel happy in happy in stories. When ready work on knowing your true self

Ramana Maharshi gave up school

Many others did that too. But they were off the highest order. They include – Kabir, Mirabai, Narshinh Mehta, Anwar, Reva Bharati, mohangiri Maharaj, Gurudev, many other saints who sang the highest poems ( greater than any scripture you can think of ).

In contrast there are educated speakers who sound good but have nothing of value to give

The highest is given – seemingly in puzzles – but Crystal clear to those who meditate and it gives them great pleasure – just like all the fairy tale stories in Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bible.

So I will leave the reader in total disbelief

All you will say is it’s fairy tale. Not possible

But these things are the very basic of Patanjali Yoga sutras and part siddhis described in Yoga

Of course these things are so rare that to meet anyone who has these things is as powerful as Lord Shiv himself.

Lord Shiv – all siddhis and Yoga and meditation starts from him. Directly or indirectly every Avatar had to pray to him including Ram and Krishnna

This is a partial list of Siddhis. Totally unbelievable and should take you away from reading my blogs for ever

I should remind you that Siddhi is not the goal

So here goes

1. Not a single thought while performing all duties perfectly. Not a Siddhi. But a natural state

2. Living for 100- 1000 – 10,000 years in meditation. Not a Siddhi. A natural state. Examples are Kaag Bhushandi, Bharthru Hari, Gorakhnaath, Babaji, kashinaath Dada, trailoki baba ( from Vishnu tirrhji lineage ) etc

3. Creating universes. Many examples of people like that – in Yoga Vasistha. They can live millions of years

4. Dissolving the body , recreating the body at will. Examples – Elijah, Kabir, Mirabai, many Sufi saints of past

5. Making the body very light or very heavy at will. Examples – Neem Karoli Baba in recent times and a few others who walked the Earth recently but never wanted exposure

6. Flying in air, walking on water, etc – Peter, Jesus , Sidhnath Maharaj of the naath sampradaya

7. Total mastery over all material objects in this universe – sant Gyaneshwar, Kabir, etc

We have not seen these things. So we have every right to not believe in any

But if you have seen one of those things , you will finally say I am sure it is possible. Our sins prevent us from meeting such exalted individuals

Bottom line – never sin. Love those who hate you. Wish everyone well. Don’t wish for anything in this world. Don’t wish to meet these great individuals. When your sufficiently pure these great individuals appear

I suspect it takes a lot of patience

In reality no one is ready for salvation.

Let’s say – your Christian. In some of the Christian concepts you become an angel. Now you sit on a cloud and play the harp. Can you do that for eternity?

Or if your Hindu – you go to heaven or stay with God. Doing nothing. Who is ready for it?

I am not referring to the heaven shown on Indian TV – where there are People fighting plotting conniving. From there you come back to earth

I refer to the heaven of peace. No activity. No vices. Really not much to do !

So who wants that? No one. So any one why reads this should stop reading my blogs. The meditation, the salvation I talk of is very different !

Aah the peace in being without action. Without mind how can you know it out crave it?

So pick your path wisely

No one asks how do I get there.

It is amazing !

The highest spiritual books and quotes are full of brilliant statements. Many who read it will profusely applaud it. Some will follow and use their own mind to imagine it but not one asks the simple question how can I get there!

So in this beautiful verse – if you were to take it seriously – you have to say I am the one becoming many. Sounds profound. Don’t forget to applaud. Please

But can you really talk with your enemy or a sinner and know that it is the one – yourself – has become the many !

So if that is the case you can imagine it,maybe convince yourself by repeated thinking , but can you truly experience it ? Big difference

So there must be something very deep , profound they have said there , something which they meant that you are not understanding

But how many ask? What does it mean?

And how many ask – how can I get there?

Why should I work hard to get there?

So far no one has asked all three questions.

So many thoughts on it ! And any number of religion will adopt a concept. The masses will ask a notable leader of the group. The group leader will then formulate and give an opinion. Use their book as an authority and bingo! There is an adamant opinion

So what are all the possible opinions

1. There is no rebirth.

2. There is a soul and it sleeps after death and God will wake you up from the grave when he comes back

3. You die age become an angel after death ( or go to hell where there is fire etc)

4. You die and are immediately born again in another human body

5. You die go to heaven or hell and then you take birth again after a while

6. You die, go to heaven or hell and then take birth in human body or animal body etc depending on karma

There might be more but most people will fit in one of the above concepts

So what is the truth? How and what can I believe? You can hear stories or anecdotes – where a Buddhist will say in my past life I was this. Or you hear a child having memories from past life ( which is still not proof just could be an anomaly of thought projection or molecule) etc

But how can you know for certain. If you truly want proof there is only one way.

Reach the soul and you will suddenly get an answer of what is possible, and more importantly how it is possible. It becomes Crystal clear

And with a little more effort the numerous time sequence one after the other can be pulled back !

FIND YOUR EXISTENCE FORGETTING THE BODY THE THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS. DISCOVER THE MARVEL. DON’T BE SATISFIED WITH PETTY LOGIC

YOU ARE A FOOL IF YOU USE LOGIC AND THINKING TO COME TO A CONCLUSION AND TELL OTHERS WHAT YOU BELIEVE. SPEND MORE TIME UNCOVERING THE TRUTH FOR YOURSELF

So when the mind is silenced – and you do not go into unconscious / sushupti – there should be Joy. Unexplained Joy

When you overcome ego – there should be no ego that you overcame ego. Or any thought that your doing things for the world.

This whole business of trying to understand is complicated and generates more ego, more ignorance and after a while boundfor failure

Don’t believe you have knowledge or have destroyed ego. The simple test is – if while working you have lack of success or if you have success and there is Joy or disappointment then there is I or ego which gave those feelings

Don’t walk the dark side of self deception. It is difficult to destroy ego

It has survived millions of births. It has survived many destructions of the world.

Do you really think you can just turn it off?

I point out to quotes from Ramana Maharshi – one where he says absence of thought leads to a state beyond knowledge and ignorance

And then another where he says knowledge is giving up ego

Seems contradictory. The reason is in the first case he refers to knowledge as in Vidya. English language is inadequate in explaining the true words used in Sanskrit

This is a dialogue between Janak raja and ashtavakra

Story has it that while in his mother’s womb he would hear his father recite Veda hymns. Often times they were misquoted and Ashta vakra would cringe. He was enlightened before birth and would cringe in the womb. He was born with 8 crooked limbs. hene the na mame Ashta meaning 8 vakra crooked

One should be cautious in interpreting this. Only a guru can clarify the last line and explain the first line and display the middle line

He does not mean thinking of this but means experiencing it one can eventually abide in ATMAN

After Valmiki wrote Ramayana he was directed to write Yoga Vasistha people did not understand the Ramaya.

So what he wrote afterwards is now knows as Yoga Vasistha Maha Ramayana. The word Maha was added.

It is full of stories and it describes only 3 days of Rama. One of the most intriguing stories is Lila akhyan. It will confound all quantum physicists

Anyway here is a quote from it

Thunder struck and I died

Now I live the lies died

A puppet started to think

The puppeteer laugh was a roar

The puppet is no more

She is very powerful. She creates the universes and destroys it.

Even all Gods are subject to her laws. Satan and Maya also have a beginning and end with her !

But there is a bright side too! She will destroy all karma too ! One only has to turn to her and poof your karma are gone.

Science and quantum physics still don’t know her. Even if time travel were to occur it works be within Kali or time.

Who can surpass thee. Without her complete Grace nothing is possible

Nothing is sacred to her. She constantly devours people plants saints animals, worlds stars planets. She devours universes Everything !

These words are absolutely fantastic for a beginner trying to remain stable in the daily turmoil of life.

To feel hurt by what others do or think or say is always a sign of weakness and proof that the whole being is not exclusively turned towards the Divine, not under the divine influence alone. And then, instead of bringing with oneself the divine atmosphere made of love, tolerance, understanding, patience, it is one’s ego that throws itself out, in response to another’s ego, with stiffness and hurt feelings, and the disharmony is aggravated. The ego never understands that the Divine has different workings in different people and that to judge things from one’s own egoistic point of view is a great mistake bound to increase the confusion. What we do with passion and intolerance cannot be divine, because the Divine works only in peace and harmony.

You are distressed because instead of listening to the voice of your soul, you have accepted the suggestions of vulgar minds and obscure consciousnesses who see ugliness and impurity everywhere because they are not in contact with the psychic purity.

Refuse to listen to these wrong suggestions, turn deliberately to the Divine and rekindle your faith in His Supreme Guidance.

Disciple : What are you doing, sitting by the riverside Sir?

Master : I am waiting for the river to finish flowing so I can get across the river.

Disciple : But sir, if you wait for the river to finish flowing, you will have to keep on waiting.

Master : This is exactly what I have been trying to make understand all those who always tell that they will start Sadhana and Seva once their life’s responsibilities are over.

It depends on our priority, not on time

A nice story. Not written by me

Sadhana is a word used by some. Sometimes they use it to refer to meditation and other times a general word encompassing prayers, bhajan etc

Seva means service

Meditation cannot wait. Everything else can wait in life. That is what yogananda used to say

There are many that do these things regularly. Almost a ritual. That is good. But making meditation a ritual is rare

Shivomtirthji said don’t think the mind will accept defeat that easily

It is a long battle. But fear not. Moksha – if all is done properly can be achieved in 3 years 6 years or 12 years

Such people are exceeding rare

Doing something wrong from a moral or material standpoint is not the only meaning of temptation. Forgetting your soul by becoming too engrossed in the body and its comforts is temptation too.

A beautiful reminder – something I have said all along. You are the soul. Forgetting that is the biggest error

People go about taking about samadhi – the highest. But it is not that easy. It is difficult to break the knowledge / awareness of the body.

You cannot go to the soul that easily. It is covered by three other bodies. We know the gross physics body.

We dream. That body is a subtle body. Allowed have dove is shifted awareness away from physical body to subtle body. Lastly we sleep and go to a dreamless state. We are aware it was dreamless. That body oh so something similar to karana body.

NONE oF THOSE BODIES OR STATES IS AWARE OF THE SOUL. SAMADHI IS RARE !

Generally it takes many births to get there. When your there you simply know it. It is peace. Not a thought. Not a single emotion. In that state there is tremendous power. It ok so aware of the multiple dream body it has effected enacted over many births

Now a Yogi is still not satisfied. He goes further. He figures out where the soul came from and in the course he realizes that even the soul was an illusion. It was God all along. The dream was god. The dreamer / soul was god.

These things appear slowly. If we rush it , we go sideways and our goal is lost. This is the nature of progress. We cannot rush a mango tree to give us mangoes. It takes 20 years. We cannot get fine wine overnight We cannot become a doctor as soon as we enter kindergarten.

Once the error of identifying with body is made it is not easily undone. That error is Maya. Or Satan. Someday all will reach there. Even a stone.

The Atman or self is subtle. Present everywhere. We only know of it in the body but that is not true

How do I become aware.

PURITY IS THE KEY. without purity one cannot know self. It instantly gets enmeshed in delusion.

Someday I will write more about purity. Going to church, reading scriptures, or charity work – maybe be good. But they are tools to become pure.

Here Maharshi asks us to place the burden on him. This shows three things

A living Guru is needed. Placing burden on him will be less effective now

It shows his unity with God

All great saints are like that.

Neem Karoli Baba was a great example in recent times.

Sadly the depth and greatness of a Guru will elude every one. Most people will see a Guru as someone with information. Information about God. And people want that information

No one seeks a living Guru with immense passion. Only those with immense passion find one

A guru is greater than God. That is the Indian way of Sanatana Dharma.

The great saint Vivekananda said,. Blessed is he whose sins are visited early.

He will surely be liberated

I live by the immortal words of these great saints

Children, Lament not! Face the world bravely It’s ok to be weak occasionally. The words of the great are in the blogs. Search it. Find comfort

Of course, there is much more. But who is fortunate to get it?

We often lament our problems. That is ok. In some ways the pain is good. It helps out resolve to be with God. Permanently abolish all pain. Once and for all.

In the final chapter we will say the pain – both emotional and physical , the hardships were your best friends

However , think of the tragic and very disgraceful chapter in humanity with countless deaths and atrocities that have occured in many countries. Some are still going on.

Why do they suffer ? In many instances they are children. Food and water scarcity. Constant fear some have meager shelters. And they will live their life like this.

The worst thing we can do is use some philosophical garbage and sit comfortably in the luxury of our home and blame karma. In instances like this using the theory of karma to justify or try to understand suffering would be an error.

The ways of God is mysterious. We cannot see his love. Does Jesus or does Babaji know of their suffering ? Why don’t they help? Many of the people suffering have said I believe in Jesus. Or have called on great saints to help

For us who suffer we often feel that the Gods and saints have failed us. Cry after cry the sounds go unheard

What do we do ? One thing is certain, the great saints and Avatars are with much love and caring. They constantly do help. They help saint and sinner alike. It is just that we do not know of the ways they have helped.

Certain things that are ordained , the world must endure

The problems of the world will continue to get worse for a few more decades. Uncontrolled sex and desires has led to a population spurt. The resources of the world are limited and now people fight over limited resources. The struggle will only get worse.

I pray to the great Avatars. The world suffers. Please do what is best. Ignorant children will make mistakes. Forgive us. We remain humbly surrendered to thee. It is not for us to reason doubt or debate. I can only offer my limited love.

So for a better world Divine intervention is needed. It will arrive but are we what enough to last till then?

Desires are the most unrelenting enemies of man; he cannot appease them. Have only one desire: to know God. Satisfying the sensory desires cannot satisfy you, because you are not the senses. They are only your servants, not your Self.

My comment on it

That is the goal. But it is not easy to turn off the switch of desire. Again and again – we see a delicacy and our senses are tempted we look forward to our meeting tea / coffee or a nice restaurant.

I just refer to one sense. The other senses are just as bad

The cravings of the body is easy to suppress but hard to be victorious

To achieve this victory daily meditation and separation of senses is needed.

The question is why do good people endure more ?

The suffering Jesus had was more than we can imagine. There were 2 other thieves who suffered at the same time but why should a pure person suffer

This is difficult to answer in public. The process is quite complex. A sign of progress is greater endurance to suffering as progress is made

Some of it is dissolve karma to be with God. You can never be with God till all karma is dealt with completely.

But tremendous progress is made of the difficulties are dealt with , with a smile and a reminder , God let me see you once before my final breath

If you know you are not thinking is it a thought ?

If you know there were thoughts does it take peace away?

Who was thinking and who was not thinking? Are they both the same?

Not only thoughts but emotions, breath and knowledge that the body is there is needed

There is a technique to it. Merely reading books or imagining you don’t have thoughts or emotions does not help

He talks about something very deep. It is not the I of the body or image or anything we can understand

The word comes from dush meaning 10 hara destroyed

Now many people have interpreted it in many different ways. Each person has a tendency to use their logic and inadequate intelligent to device what it means

I saw many postings on WhatsApp with people showing news that it means destruction of the ten vices in personality. Of course on face value it seems outstanding

However we should look back and see if we can understand it in the context Valmiki wrote it. Let us examine the facts

1. It comes after Navratri. I have not yet had an opportunity to explain that

2. In Ramayana it comes after the death of Ravana Ravana was a 10 headed tyrant who had kidnapped God Rama wife Sita. Rama killed him after a long battle. Beforehe killed Ravana , Indrajit was killed, Kumbha karana was killed and Ahi Ravana andMahi Ravana were killed.

Ravana was a total terror. A tyrant for Lanka ! Yet if you ask anyone – what evil did he do? He never touched Sita ! He never could. He did not kill anyone. He interfered in people doing Yagna but not much.

Inspire of all that , God had to take birth in the form of Rama to kill him

Now I can try to explain it to you , but it will not make sense. One has to have mastery in meditation to get a glimpse of this epic poem Ramayana. My explanation would sound insane – but it isn’t. Ravana refers to destruction of ego. However it is not ego like you understand it. If I said it is the ego in a stone – you will and you should – consider me crazy.

Anyway enough said. Both Ramayana and Mahabharata are poems describing the the art and technique of meditation.

However to grasp it , one has to get out of the first step of meditation – stop making comparison of words in the shastra and comparing it to the physical world.

A diamond in front

No one could see

It glittered and shined

No one could see

It was brighter than the glitter

But could not say

Many passed by

Alas, not a single jeweler

All went for the Shell

Never the Pearl

Said Bhavin my job is done

He waved at passers

This is one of the best books ever written. It perpetually reminds us with many different stories that you are not the body but your the immortal soul

One you know that, we tend to the body less!

But a word of caution. A book telling you the day your the immortal soul – IS NOT THE SAME As having that experience. The experience has to be occasionally, then daily them constantly.

Few will take up this challenge and work hard.

Would it not be helpful if somehow you experienced yourself as pure soul, no thoughts or emotions or burden but present with out size shape or limitations?
