So sad

A diamond in front

No one could see

It glittered and shined

No one could see

It was brighter than the glitter

But could not say

Many passed by

Alas, not a single jeweler

All went for the Shell

Never the Pearl

Said Bhavin my job is done

He waved at passers

Yoga Vasistha maharamayana

This is one of the best books ever written. It perpetually reminds us with many different stories that you are not the body but your the immortal soul

One you know that, we tend to the body less!

But a word of caution. A book telling you the day your the immortal soul – IS NOT THE SAME As having that experience. The experience has to be occasionally, then daily them constantly.

Few will take up this challenge and work hard.

Would it not be helpful if somehow you experienced yourself as pure soul, no thoughts or emotions or burden but present with out size shape or limitations?

Shree Chakra.

I will post a video in reference to it.

The wordings are beautiful. But the motion of red Dot is something which was created with hallucinogenic effects

Needless to say such wrong jumping of color and red Dot will be off no use

The entire chakra is the method to meditation

Only a tatwagyani would understand

We can’t believe in yoga fully

No matter how we try – many things in Yog seems impossible. Making the body very heavy or very light. Or flying in air. Or disappearing

We hear stories about them. The sources seem believable. The most recent one you may have heard are stories about Neem Karoli Baba.

And many believe – they are probably true. But unless you have seen it first hand, we may have lingering doubts. Even after seeing it we still limit the ability of such great beings

Then there are even greater beings. Such as Yagnavalkalya.

I believed these things are fairy tales. However I had the great fortune of being at the feet of a divine person. He changed everything in a second. I never had and still don’t have any worthy attributes. Yet like a child he lifted me and blessed me. And more

And more. And more

He always forbade anyone from telling anything about him. If someone was ready he would call them in a miraculous way. That’s all!

His followers have created a face book group or two. Many people in it. But there is no spirtual information there

Some disciples have tried to use the information from Gurudev. For selfish reasons and publicity. That is not good the outcome will be unfavorable

Every so often other disciples of Gurudev look at my blog. However I have said nothing worthwhile here. The true contact, true help us better received face to face.

Why does God not take us sincerely?

Well it is because we lie. We all day we want to make progress. However we lie in 2 ways

We want to make spiritual progress but it can only happen when we are willing to totally relinquish everything material.

Secondly, we don’t want to work for it. I don’t mean meditation or becoming a scholar. Yes meditation in the right way with the guidance of a Guru is needed. But the hardest work is – to not be upset when adverse circumstances occur or when someone insults you and to say it does not matter

Do these basic things, find a real Guru and the matter is over. Not immediately. But still will take several births. But at that point it becomes a certainty

God bless

My last post was shocking

So I compared most human progress to the level of an ant. Maybe I am wrong. Maybe not

However, if the stories of songs of the great beings are correct think about it!!

Jesus brought back Lazarus from the dead. His body was decomposed !

All the miracles of Neem Karoli Baba – done with a single thought!

Babaji creating a palace and bringing back a dead disciple

Babaji age!

The stories of Gorakhnath. Or Bharthruhari

The most is quite endless

Yogananda Maharaj said – there is a law to the miracles. There is a sequence that must be followed. That’s why it took Jesus 3 days to appear back

So to an ant – that must follow all the laws of this physical world and quantum physics – it is a miracle.

But those great beings it was manipulation of clay

Now do you know how to do any of those things? Do you know all the laws of the subtle world?

Friends, remember we have not even started compared to those great Giants

Definitely we try. And the more we try, those great beings permit us to get there

To learn those steps. And laws. A Guru is a must. Books scriptures, blogs are not helpful.

The vedas and upanishad tempt us with the final result. But they have not revealed the steps. At least not clearly. Literal translation of the scriptures is insufficient

I am sorry to break this terrible news to you. Your ego may suffer. That is not my intention. Forgive me

You may feel helpless. That is not my intention. Forgive me

You may want to find a true Guru. Feel desperate. But fear not the great saints hear us. But first you must want to be there and but not for becoming great. You must be pure. Love your enemies. Help others. Serve others forget about becoming a leader or Guru or teaching others spiritual matters

First learn it properly

There. I have said it. Now stop reading my blogs. Stop holding on to fake teachers or Guru or methods

Believe me I tell the truth! God never created one soul better or higher. You are the same as any of them. Humbly approach someone who can turn the lights on!

The biggest problem is…..

Compared to the spiritual giants – our intellect, our spiritual progress is less than that of an ant

Your ego will prevent you from accepting it. The level of those giants – is so high that what they do and have done is like a fairy tale!

But yet those stories are all true. Since these great Gods – for what else can we call them – rarely appear and expose themselves. When they appear, they remain silent, help a few souls ready to progress – then disappear.

Even when you meet such Guru – you will not recognize them, accept them or benefit from them – since the vital ingredient of intense desire to progress is absent. Even when present we judge the Guru by our ant like brain and try to fit their genius to limited vision

This is the ultimate problem. We constantly fail to recognize our very limited capacity. The trivial progress we make is not enough. What a Guru can give is a millions of years of progress in a second. If your ready!

Navratri

Navratri falls Four times in a year. Which is according to Hindu calendar months is Chaitra, Aashadh, Ashwin, and Magha.

Hindus believe is Goddess. Since there is no birthday her festival is celebrated in 4 months

Navratri falls Four times in a year. Which is according to Hindu calendar months is Chaitra, Aashadh, Ashwin, and Magha.

The celebration is for 9 days each. Nav – nine. Ratri – night

There is a very precise yoga interpretation a s guidance to this. It is depicted by her above photograph, and her 9 names. It relates to meditation

One thing is certain, without her grace no one can escape. It does not matter if you believe in her or not or if you are Hindu or not.

You may argue that the goddess is not Described in the Bible. Maybe so. But Jesus did believe in the trinity and some believe mother mary as part of the trinity. Or the holy ghost.

Why the number 9?

Why those months?

Why for times a year?

Who are the 8 Goddess?

What does the name mean?

The diet should be simple during those days. Mostly MIlk, sugar, cream and potatoes. Grain is to be avoided

What will I get by following navratri? Terrible question! This question can only hurt you

In my usual stand, I am unable to answer the questions freely. Afar is written in the blogs elsewhere is often nonsense

Ratri refers to the requirements of meditating at night.

Is it simple?

Yes. Very simple. No. Very complex

It is like Aurobindo said – many small parts have to be dealt with

What am I saying?

So if you follow Advaita – then all is God. Its simple now right? I believe it. I used some half baked logic and presto – I am a Gyani. I know the truth. All is God!

But wait a minute – weren’t you hasty? Isn’t there a tiny corner in your mind that does not accept it? Or can you really believe your worst enemy is God too? What about Gengiz Khan? Yikes. With all his cruelty he is God?

So we modify our original theory. We now day all is God but they are diamonds covered in mud Fine and dandy. But who created the mud. God or someone else? And what did God Make it from? If he made it from something then did that something exist along with God?

So we weave a web of incorrect logic and suffocate. And yet because we keep saying god is everywhere we can say we are a pundit. A guru!

Nonsense. The truth is first cleanse yourself. Learn the technique of how to cleanse yourself. No scripture or book or method can help you clean yourself. Only a guru can help you. When that happens, joy begins. Don’t just read books or blogs. Spend more time learning the right technique and make every part of your clean!

I have said this many many times. What you read on blogs is trivial. It is morsels. Why be happy with meager things. Go for the cake!

I talk of the highest

So we don’t stop with the tiny steps we make in progress

A little understanding, clarity in goal did not really help make a full leap forward

RamKrishna paramhansa used to say, 24 hours of not stop genuine prayer to god and he will respond

Do we have that?

Cope with fear

I got this from curiosity. It’s a great email subscription. Free.

RIA stands for recognize, identify, address. In other words, recognize that you’re afraid, identify the fear, and then find a way to cope.

Recognize: Get a sense of how you’re feeling. Is your heart beating fast? Are you feeling hot, or breaking out in a cold sweat? Is your mouth dry, or are you feeling some digestive discomfort? These are all symptoms of a fear response, and this first step simply involves acknowledging that: something is happening in your body that suggests you’re afraid.

Identify: “Name it to claim it,” says Poffenroth. Like Beetlejuice, Rumplestiltskin, or Voldemort, naming something can give you power over it. Okay, you’re afraid. Is this a factual or fictional fear? If it’s fictional, does it come from feeling like you’re not enough or like you’ve lost control?

“When you start to name it, sometimes that can just short circuit the fear response in and of itself,” she says. In fact, Poffenroth says that you can often just stop here, since simply recognizing that something is going on and identifying what it is can be enough to calm you down. “It also makes us feel not so alone,” she points out. “It’s just our human body being a human body. It’s not, like, what we would consider ourselves. It’s our brain doing its brain thing.”

Address: If you’ve done the first two steps and you’re still deep in the fear response, it’s now time to address the fear. If it’s a factual fear, this is obviously the point when you should take steps to protect yourself. If it’s a fictional fear, however, there are a number of strategies you can use to overcome it.

If all you need is to calm your fear response, try box breathing: breathe in for four seconds, hold for four seconds, breathe out for four seconds, hold for four seconds, repeat as needed. But to get to the root of the problem, it’s essential to face your fear. If you’re feeling insecure in your relationship, talk to your partner about it. If you’re afraid you’ll bomb your speech, identify the very worst thing that could happen — you’ll likely realize it’s not that bad. If you feel like you can’t get a project done on deadline, make a list of your to-dos and see what can be put on hold, what can be delegated to others, and what can be abandoned completely.

Most importantly, don’t ignore it. If you pretend your fear doesn’t exist, your body will keep fighting it with or without you and cause more problems down the line.

Now for the yoga part. The above technique maybe good for ordinary life. But what does a yogi do? He knows one thing for sure. Fear of death is factual. Why? Because you have died or left the body many times. Painfully at times. This is true for animals too

That original fear – cessation of existence as we know – is what has to be conquered. Don’t be a fool and think like your imaginary football or cricket player. Oh I could have done this with that bowl or would have tackled the player this way. Your in the field. Your imagination that when death comes I will not be afraid – is simply not true.

As the sun of life sets, your control over body diminishes, no longer can you walk talk or move, and then the heart and breathing stops. You are aware of it. Those seconds or minutes or hours are very painful.

Learn to he a true yogi. Learn the right technique. Stop the theoretical nonsense. And imaginary meditation of thinking of an ocean. Or using chemicals or imaginingit.

just do it. Don’t think of doing it. Be there.

In continuation of yesterday

There are four types of people

1. Similar Einstein. They want absolute proof of God existence. They try physics and science and go as far as they can – if God is not found they conclude maybe it’s a myth. Like any scientific mind they always leave room for error

2. Those who read about things, read books, scriptures, have been told by parents about God, and believe in it or want to believe in it due to hardships and wanting hope in life. They never make any effort but just blindly follow. They are often so dense that they don’t even question what they do – oh Gita says this or the Bible says believe in Jesus and all your sins will be destroyed. They commit crimes and think I believe in Jesus or took a bath in Ganga and my sins are gone!

3. Those who seek proof by following a method. They hold on to small things as proof – oh my teacher or the saint said that you will pass the exam and I passed. Or I prayed to God and I did not have an accident while driving and put blind faith in a guru or Saint. It is of course unwarranted and undeserved but based on that they slowly develop faith

However an extremely few number of people really get to meet someone like Babaji – a great avatar who impressed the world by creating a palace in the thin air. The world in its silly way – for the believers – believed it and worship him as a great avatar.

4. Don’t get me wrong. Babaji, my opinion, is there and is greater than we can imagine. But his greatness was not in the palace but was in the ability to give a few disciples direct perception of God. So such great Guru are the highest and don’t fall in any of the four category. But their disciples constantly have a direct chat with God – like you read the blog. No. It is not hallucinations. Becauase hallucinations don’t tell you the future.

The unfortunate this is that one has to be in category 3 for a long time before such perfected great Guru will meet us.

The good thing is even if you deny existence of God but are otherwise pure you can still meet a great perfected Guru

Love

I respect Einstein

The word Einstein is synonymous with genius. He truly changed physics and without his help we would still be somewhat backward in all of our current technology

This is what he said about religion

Written a year before the legendary physicist died in 1955, his name synonymous with genius, Einstein writes in German from Princeton, New Jersey to German philosopher Eric Gutkind.

“The word God is for me nothing but the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of venerable but still rather primitive legends,” writes the physicist, best known for his theory of relativity.

“No interpretation, no matter how subtle, can (for me) change anything about this.” The one-and-a-half-page letter will go on sale on December 4, estimated by Christie’s to fetch between $1 million and $1.5 million.

The letter was previously offered at auction in 2008, bought by a private collector for $4,04,000, Christie’s said.

“It is one of the definitive statements in the religion vs science debate,” says Peter Klarnet, senior specialist in books and manuscripts at the auction house.

The son of secular Ashkenazi Jews and forced to flee Germany after Adolf Hitler took power, Einstein did not exclude Judaism from his critique. “For me the unadulterated Jewish religion is, like all other religions, an incarnation of primitive superstition,” he writes to Gutkind.

“And the Jewish people to whom I gladly belong, and in whose mentality I feel profoundly anchored, still for me does not have any different kind of dignity from all other people.

“As far as my experience goes, they are in fact no better than other human groups, even if they are protected from the worst excesses by a lack of power. Otherwise I cannot perceive anything ‘chosen’ about them.”

Ah, so I the first half of the 20 century from 1901 to 1950, Einstein was there He changed the world. But, but- so was Yogananda. So was Yukteshwar. And Lahiri mahashay. And Aurobindo and Raman Maharshi. There were even other greater beings also like Neem Karoli Maharaj, Yogendra vigyani ( guru of Vihnutirthiji maharaj)

Even other unknown people of such high caliber that the world cannot know if them like Mohangiri Maharaj, Karsangiri Maharaj Kevalgiri Maharaj, and his extra ordinary disciples

They all said the opposite to what Einstein said. So where do we stand?

Is religion just make belief. Primitive. Even if you take a subtle interpretation of the stories like the story of David and Goliath or of Prahlad?

Even the subtle interpretation was denied by Einstein.

Ah, so much joy. What a drama! The truth is where science cannot reach where all Laws of science are vanquished that where those great saints operate

Think carefully. Where do you stand?

What is life about?

Like I have said many times, people lead a meaningless existence. When I say meaningless I mean they chase happiness in the world. But when the claws of past karma catches up they scream

Slowly they come to realization that the world is full of anguish. Everything they thought would give happiness brings its share of pain. Like Vivekananda said happiness comes wearing the crown of pain with it!

Yet you want money. Fame. Fortune. Luxury! We want our pain to go away !

Let us assume God exists ! He must be quite foolish to have created this whole universe with trillions of trillions of trillions of worlds, stars, and distances that we cannot even comprehend And out of all he created an earth with 7 billion people now and trillions of insects, animals etc

What is the sense? Why? Are we destined to live a meaningless existence with a truly insignificant years of “living” ( compared to the origin of the universe)?

So like Gorakhnath and many other saints said, “one after another all forgot the reason for existence, but one person Matsyandra ka Chela ( himself) did not forget ”

So what was it he did not forget?

Like Mohangiri Maharaj said, you made a promise that you will figure it out but once you took birth you forgot your promise!

What is it?

The only goal is to find the “spirit” the ultimate secret. Is it the soul? The spirit refers to atman. It is the wonder of wonders! The joy of life! The joy in pain! But who wants it? No one.

Aah. But what about me – some lament? I know the Bible and read the scriptures. I can talk in sanskrit and debate anyone? Oh fool you have nothing. You have not tasted the nectar!

So go and put forth your theories of karma, and mediation and yoga and Buddhism. Convert a few unsuspecting souls to your ideology. The end result still will be you did not find the spirit?

How do I know I found it?

The moment you ask if I found the atman, it means you have not

The moment you are curious about reading a blog or scripture you don’t have it

The moment you want a disciple you don’t have it

I dare not say more – the great beings wish that children learn to crawl properly and stop thinking they are an astronaut!

Home part 2

The seeker was almost in tears. He was bewildered. He respectfully asked permission to leave.

The great guru noded and bade him good bye. Just as the seeker was exiting the door, the teacher called him back. He gave him a sealed letter. On top of the letter it was written – to be opened exactly after 24 years. Keep this letter with you. It will keep you from getting lost

The seeker had a glimmer of hope. He left with enthusiasm. He felt a different energy in him. When he reached his home, there was an attorney waiting for him. The attorney said, thank you sir , finally I have found you. I represent a legal firm that was given a few boxes by your great grandfather in the year 1906. It said please deliver to you. The instructions were very clear. It had your name and exact address!

The seeker was shocked. Tears rolled down his face. He signed for the legal release. Ten boxes were delivered. He eagerly opened the boxes

Astrology

Is it true ?

Vivekananda advised a few not to believe in it. That is true. Some people Fall victim to it and will not even leave home without the right “mahurat” auspicious time That would be silly to follow it to that degree. So for the believers if it makes you weak mentally give it up

The best mahurat for Rama wedding was given by Vasistha himself and yet Sita and Ram had mostly – from a worldly standpoint – a difficult life and wedding. Can you imagine a Kings daughter asked to live in a Forrest by her king husband when she was pregnant ?

Yogananda believed in it. In his childhood he was given a protective amulet later in life he was chalkenged by an astrologer about something – the times were extremely unfavorable – but yogananda did it ( investing in stock market and making ten times the amount ) He then advised that it is possible but if times are unfavorable it is very difficult But he was a paramhansa. He could do it ! Outwitting the stars is a nice chapter in autobiography of a Yogi

So what is the truth ? Can the planets influence a person ? Or is it just a strong indicator of probability ?

Why would I write about it in spirituality?

What is the truth ?

Poem by Attar

The people of this world are like the three butterflies

in front of a candle’s flame.

The first one went closer and said:

I know about love.

The second one touched the flame

lightly with his wings and said:

I know how love’s fire can burn.

The third one threw himself into the heart of the flame

and was consumed. He alone knows what true love is.

Farid al-Din Attar

More about Attar later. He was a Sufi from the 12th century

The flame is the Agni of Hindu. It is the core to all Hindu yagna

The yagna is a way to meditate – however the technique is lost thankfully a few know if it

Beautiful words from Mother ( Aurobindo ). How to endure suffering

If at any time a deep sorrow, a searing doubt or an intense pain overwhelms you and drives you to despair, there is an infallible way to regain calm and peace.

In the depths of our being there shines a light whose brilliance is equalled only by its purity; a light, a living and conscious portion of a universal godhead who animates and nourishes and illumines Matter, a powerful and unfailing guide for those who are willing to heed his law, a helper full of solace and loving forbearance towards all who aspire to see and hear and obey him. No sincere and lasting aspiration towards him can be in vain; no strong and respectful trust can be disappointed, no expectation ever deceived.

My heart has suffered and lamented, almost breaking beneath a sorrow too heavy, almost sinking beneath a pain too strong.… But I have called to thee, O divine comforter, I have prayed ardently to thee, and the splendour of thy dazzling light has appeared to me and revived me.

As the rays of thy glory penetrated and illumined all my being, I clearly perceived the path to follow, the use that can be made of suffering; I understood that the sorrow that held me in its grip was but a pale reflection of the sorrow of the earth, of this abysm of suffering and anguish.

Only those who have suffered can understand the suffering of others; understand it, commune with it and relieve it. And I understood, O divine comforter, sublime Holocaust, that in order to sustain us in all our troubles, to soothe all our pangs, thou must have known and felt all the sufferings of earth and man, all without exception.

How is it that among those who claim to be thy worshippers, some regard thee as a cruel torturer, as an inexorable judge witnessing the torments that are tolerated by thee or even created by thy own will?

No, I now perceive that these sufferings come from the very imperfection of Matter which, in its disorder and crudeness, is unfit to manifest thee; and thou art the very first to suffer from it, to bewail it, thou art the first to toil and strive in thy ardent desire to change disorder into order, suffering into happiness, discord into harmony.

Suffering is not something inevitable or even desirable, but when it comes to us, how helpful it can be!

Each time we feel that our heart is breaking, a deeper door opens within us, revealing new horizons, ever richer in hidden treasures, whose golden influx brings once more a new and intenser life to the organism on the brink of destruction.

And when, by these successive descents, we reach the veil that reveals thee as it is lifted, O Lord, who can describe the intensity of Life that penetrates the whole being, the radiance of the Light that floods it, the sublimity of the Love that transforms it for ever!

WORDS FROM MOTHER

These words show the depth of love and surrender that is needed for God

When will I develop this kind of Love ?

Such greatness. I bow to thee

About the poem

The poem is a depiction of God

Don’t be anything refers to destruction of ego

The lines above it describe how to get there and results

God only likes those without ego

If there is a God

Understanding my poem

It is difficult

To explain in ordinary language – don’t be anything refers to destruction of ego

The other lines I will explain later.

An old poem

Your face is neither infinite nor ephemeral.

You can never see your own face,

only a reflection, not the face itself.

So you sigh in front of mirrors

and cloud the surface.

It’s better to keep your breath cold.

Hold it, like a diver does in the ocean.

One slight movement, the mirror-image goes.

Don’t be dead or asleep or awake.

Don’t be anything.

A serious business

Most people in this world, even when they show interest in God,it is casual and maybe even a sort of entertainment. For the “teachers” it definitely is business!! Make money. Get famous and some even use it to impress women.

God is not interested in them at all. Based on their past karma they get those things they desire. For a while their disciple will proclaim them as wise and great

For those genuinely interested in God the story is different and their Guru is very different. They will endure much hardship without complaining but never give you their search for God.

Such discipes are very rare. Maybe less than a hundred exist!

Jealousy has worked so well for me, confesses a student at SRCC, Delhi

There is a video where a student asks sadguru this question.

She is more motivated to study when her friends do better. Is it wrong?

Sadguru says it is like a donkey running because firecracker was attached to a donkey tail

Millions applauded his answer

The applause is all idolism or hero worshipping

I was not impressed. A donkey that runs because of firecrackers attached to tail is running from fear. Not from jealousy. A bad comparison

But millions will follow! That’s all they can do. Hero worship. Not think

My answer is very different. But who will listen

Home

A great teacher was waiting for someone to learn the wisdom. A few people would visit him

He would ask for a few things before he would impart knowledge

One disciple was very poor. He lived in a mobile home. His mobile home was quite dear to him. The teacher asked for his mobile home. The disciple was aghast. I can’t sir. This is all I have that I have. The teacher shook his head

Where would I live sir?

I will get you a huge palace the teacher said. The disciple looked around. Obviously there was something wrong. The teacher place was less than a cottage. The few windows in the cottage were covered up with wood and the glasses were shattered

A beautiful bhajan by Gyani

Translation : I saw something incredible, a dead person eats up time

Now let all the PhD try to figure it out and all the “great teachers” understand it

A beautiful verse

Read the words. Nicely sung.

The singer is Gabriela Burnel I believe

The words are important – the meaning.

Brahma Gyan

In one of the best books written – called mahayoga vigyan – there is a sentence which says upon drinking dhrut rasa you get brahma gyan

Who knows what it means! ?

But the book is extra ordinary. It is in Hindi. It is not meant for a casual yogi or the western world concept of meditation. What people do nowadays is a joke

Janmashtmi

Today is the 8th day of the ascending moon of the month Shraavan

It is the birthday of lord Krishna. He sang the Bhagwad Gita – the Holy book in Hinduism

Lord Krishna chose to be born in “Jail” where his parents were imprisoned

Lord Krishna manages to escape – the guards fell asleep at his birth and his father Vasudev carried him away from jail. There was a tremendous flood and rain at that time. When the feet of Krishna touched the river Yamuna the river split into two and he was safely carried by vasudev from Mathura to Gokul

There he performed many miracles and at the age of 63 gave divine guidance to Arjun on the battlefield of Kurikshetra

The whole story is a guide on how to meditate. Some deep explanation is available in a few books

These things have been written with much wisdom – the kind you can only get from a Guru

Can I talk with God?

Yes.

Not just an intuitive thought ( which is very easy to mistake that and imagination)

Judy like a direct conversation. Or as clear as reading a book

But he wants us to be clear. Sincere. Determined.

He will not open up until we show those qualities. Not just for a day or two. But for years.

20-30 years in the minimum. But once he opens up. He won’t stop. In a million different ways. He will be there. Or she will be there.

A lot of it I have reproduced from Yogananda

So please don’t seek to me for anything

Worry and brooding

We have had a lot of practice. All life long. Nay for many births.

Of constantly worrying or brooding or imagining.

Watch a movie. And you will constantly say oh no! Or that’s good. Or I wonder what is next ? Or this is what I would have done. Etc !

But that’s what we call enjoyment.

Now the habit takes a permanent hold. And as we grow older we try not to worry or think of our future or look forward to things in life – we get stuck. We just can’t stop thinking !

Sad. It takes a lot of practice to get rid of this trait. Vivekananda called it painting pictures.

But it can be done.

Thoughts

What we don’t realize all thoughts and desire materialize.

It can happen now, tomorrow or a million years from now

No one can stop it

So be wise. Think carefully. It will be happen. Have patience. Why rush it or be miserable while waiting

A word of caution. If you think someone getting hurt or suffering that too may come to pass but you will have to endure the same at the same intensity or more.

So think wisely. Genuinely care for all. I don’t use the word love – love comes so much later and is equal to all.

The stories in Hinduism

There are many stories in Hinduism. And many words used. If you take them at face value and take the literal truth you will miss on the true thrill and joy of the stories

Yogananda said the stories are at three levels. I think they are at 4

1. Literal story

2. Contemplative interpretation

3. yogic interpretation on regards to meditation

4. A level not meant for public revelation

A few stories – Ram had monkeys and bears fight for him. Ram killed Vali while Vali was engaged in a one on one battle with Sugriv. Shankar bhagwan has bhoot / ghosts as his army

Hopefully this is enough either to find the true meaning or give up on Hinduism. Either way God is happy

Since most people cannot grasp level 3 or 4 and intellectual or logical interpretation will not give you satisfaction and you will miss on the thrill of the genius of the ancient Rishis

Go deep in meditation!

Nirvana or perfection!

Everyone knows what perfection is – maybe to a degree

And the easiest is to find imperfections in the other including imperfections in even enlightened saints

A Hindu will easily see imperfections in Jesus and a Christian in Buddhism and ram / Krishna etc

Books, a variety of them, including Gita, Bible, Torah will discuss perfection. But a rare book will describe the thousands of steps to perfection

They may say not to get jealous or greedy. Yet, we easily get jealous when someone has success, money, when best friend pays more attention to someone else etc. How do we change that aspect of the mind. No book has written how to change it except command you not to do it! Is that simple to change mind? Of course not. There is an elaborate process

A guru knows the steps but cannot tell anyone who has not walked the path of meditation!

Death – the hindu vidhi

In Indian, hindu tradition, the following is done after death

  1. The body is cremated in 24 hours
  2. On the second day, the ashes are taken and within a years time deposed in Saraswati river
  3. Day 1-9, is known as Sutak.  (could be longer). Prayers are NOT done for those days in the house and no “diya” is done
  4. Day 10, the hair of the male son is cut. He becomes bald except for a “choti”
  5. Day 11 “Pret puja”
  6. Day 12 “Pind Daan” puja
  7. Day 13, Relatives are invited for dinner or lunch and the daughters of the family are given clothes, dinner sets, jewelry, etc
  8. “Besnu” where they relatives and friends come over is done on day 4 or 5.
  9. Daily from day 2-9 they do bhajan and either Gita recital or recital of Garuda purana

These are the traditions in Brahmin family.  It can vary from place to place, community and other variations based on resources available

These things do not hold true for a Yogi.  The above tradition is a reflection of the true death, where a yogi learns to realize his body is not real.  The same steps are followed in meditation.  I am unable to give the analogy in a public forum.  But if you have an accomplished yogi he can tell you.

Talking about an accomplished Yogi – I heard a video where someone explained the word Bharat etc.  What a joke !  Let them be…they want popularity and not God

How evil is maya or satan?

Very evil

Maybe not evil at all. She is the Loki. The royal illusionist

The biggest laugh Maya gets is when your making spiritual progress ! And you have many people listening to you. You have powers – you can influence other people’s lives and predict things etc

For show knows all that was a game for her. Will you still vanquish your ego or let it perish you ?

And almost all fail. They think they have reached a high level. They are famous and in a twinkle all is lost.

Future births will not be so kind. Let this be a warning for all those on the path and harbor those thoughts and wishes. You will lose

But she is not evil. Merely a task for her. Her bidding – So god told her – find me someone who can love me without my gifts Someone who can love friend and foe alike

The greatest being ever. And no one knew him !

My posts

All of my posts are very incomplete. less than 1 % of the topic is discussed.

Thus is written just to whet your appetite. And hoping that the reader will be eager to learn more truth from a Guru

Almost everything is about yoga and meditation. If it came from the lords mouth.

Karma yoga – in Gita is not about action but the only true Karma per Babaji is doing kriya yoga

Kriya yoga is misunderstood fully inspite of Yogananda repeatedly telling everyone the truth.

We have the ego that I am good and hence my understanding is correct about kriya yoga. Then we try to explain everything written with our wrong understanding

Tbe definition of Kriya Yoga by a yogi is so high, so difficult that most people will wish to have Kriya and not be satisfied with their wrong interpretation

Somnath story

Chandra / the moon married Daksha 27 daughters. Chandra had rohini as his favorite. The other wife’s got upset, complained to daksha and Chandra was cursed to lose his Lustre

Chandra prayed to lord shiv for 4000 years and shiv gave him the ability to Wax and wane every 15 days

This story has a deep spiritual interpretation of the steps in meditation.

The Chandra is not the Chandra Nadi.

Superficial

All the explanations of the scriptures and Gita etc has been done BUT BUT the great teachers have intentionally omitted many key things

It is like giving a recipe for pizza – and omitting cheese , oven setting and duration etc

So when you try to make it based on the book then you will fail

Why do they do that ? So you will have the sense of finding someone accomplished and then when you experience a chakra you will laugh since the description was extremely superficial. All these lives we wasted trying to understand and we suddenly realize the truth is far deeper, brighter, enjoyable than any book.

Was allopathic medicine arrogant ?

In Ayurveda – they talked about “pitta” leasing to many issues including memory loss? Anger etc

Recently a few studies have shown bile acid produced by gut bacteria leading to Alzheimer’s, memory issue etc

Bile acid of course is “pitta”.

So what does this have to do with spirituality ?

Everything. Diet affects our mind. Meat in general causes more harmful bile – my suspicion. In order to progress diet plays an important role in controlling the unruly mind

My friendship is dying

What should I do ?

My 9 friends from forever,

Are quickly leaving me

They talk very little

Leaving me alone.

They send me half hearted invites

And I chose not to go.

Oh what a color friendship it was

Even the rainbow pales.

All alone I have taken resort

Drinking in my solitary cave.

Now my true friend

Is wine alone

Joy in its taste.

Forgetting my friends of yore

I became the book

Kabir Doha

Here is an interesting Doha from Kabir. This is a translation

Inflicted by a bladeless spear

He lies under a tree

Surely he will die today or tomorrow

I cannot interpret this in public but it is an enlightening Doha showing the greatness of Guru

Rathyatra story

Krishna, Balbhadra and Subhadra were having a very hot summer day in Bhuvaneshwar. They finally went for a bath in the ocean / river nearby and when they came back, they got sick. They were very sick. A few weeks later, they went for dinner at a nearby cottage and that procession from the temple to the cottage took 9 days. First Subhadra went in a chariot with 12 wheels, then Balbhadra in the chariot with 14 wheels and finally Krishna in the chariot with 16 wheels. The chariots have very specific dimensions.

After they ate at the cottage, they finally got better

I write this story to share. Of course you can look up other stories, and massive description of the Ratha built with precision to exact dimensions

It is such a big occasion – 9 days of yatra/ journey.

It truly is. If done properly forever you are with God

Few can understand it and rarely one in a billion can do it correctly

Children

All books and spiritual things are for children

Those who constantly read and look at reading for progress have not learnt anything

Buddha said throw away your books

Mansoor said – drop your books in water

I say – can you stop going online? Stop google searches ?

When you answer that question honestly then you can understand what our status is compared to those giants !

Yogananda said he hardly read any book ever!

Unfortunate

The soul assumes the human body for regaining its divine status

Yet seldom does anyone make any effort to find it.

Of those who make any effort most fall into debates about why their method / religion of finding “God” is the only way

Of those who find the fastest technique doubts creep in, difficulty finding a guru who can help etc occur

Everyone at times believe their path is correct and very quickly do they change path or beliefs or begin to doubt when their wishes are not fulfilled or difficulties in life arise

But in all this turmoil seldom does anyone find the truth of themselves. The soul is imagined but rarely perceived. Imagination of the soul is often thought to be an ephemeral body, speck of light etc. but very rarely does any book give a detailed description of the soul. At best a few words

Surprising !!

Great quote from mother

If in the work you meet with some difficulties, look sincerely into yourself and there you will discover their origin.

**********

The difficulties in work come not from circumstances or petty outer occurrences, they come from something which is wrong in the inner attitude, especially in the vital attitude: egoism, ambition, fixity of mental conceptions regarding work, vanity, etc. And it is always good, in order to correct the disharmony, to look for the cause in oneself rather than in others.
