Babaji was once wandering somewhere in Eastern U.P. At one place he passed by a railway station. The train happened to be at halt. He had a fancy to travel some distance by train. He got into a nearby coach and sat in an upper class compartment. After a while the train started and continued its journey.
Some time later, a Travelling Ticket Examiner saw this somewhat uncouth, rustic-like person occupying the upper class seat and approached him and asked for his ticket. Babaji just looked up at him once and paid no further attention to his query. He continued to remain silent in contemplation. The Ticket Examiner was annoyed. He demanded to see the ticket. It was those days when most of the railway staff was either British or at least Anglo-Indian. Babaji shook his head and spread out his empty hands.
The Ticket Examiner understood the situation and decided to take action. Soon after, the train stopped for a brief halt at a small way-side station in the country-side. Babaji was ordered to get down. He promptly obeyed, left his seat, got down out of the carriage and walking a few steps along the dusty platform went and stayed under the shade of a tree. He seemed absolutely unconcerned of whatever had happened. He paid no attention to what was going on around him.
In a couple of minutes the bell rang, the railway guard blew his whistle and waved the green flag. The engine driver sounded the whistle and started the engine. Nothing happened. The engine did not move and the train continued to stand where it was.
After a few minutes the guard got down and walked up to the engine driver to enquire what the trouble was. No trouble could be detected. Everything seemed to be all right. The engine driver checked everything and tried again. No result. More time passed. The Station Master became anxious. Another train which was due to come by was held up at some station up the line. Telegraphic messages started coming. 15 minutes, 20 minutes and then half an hour passed.
Anxiety built up.
Then a subordinate member of the staff very timidly approached the Station Master and pointing to Babaji sitting under the tree insisted that the whole situation was due to having shown disrespect to the holy man. He suggested that the only way out of the impasse was to approach him and beg his forgiveness and request him to continue his journey without any hindrance. This was conveyed to the guard and the engine driver.
At first they vehemently refused to do any such thing but as more time passed, better reason prevailed. They respectfully approached Babaji, saluted him, asked to be excused for their rudeness, requested him to bless the train and invited him to continue his journey. Babaji looked up and glanced at them for a moment and said “All right, Chalo. Hum chalenge, Hum chalenge” (“All right, Go. I shall come along, I shall come along”) and got up and re-entered the train.
Immediately the engine gave a jerk and the train started to move as though nothing had happened. A little crowd, which had gathered there, in the meanwhile, loudly acclaimed Babaji with awe in their voice. From then onwards no Railway Officer ever interfered with Babaji’s free movement in any train he fancied.
I was talking with someone the other day and he said that during later years Buddha became more material
He interacted with many, aye indiscriminately, gained weight
What could I say?
Such great people always do things for good and Buddha did the greatest good when he was “material”
This is the problem. Fools try to judge a master instead of making progress
Similar questions are raised about Jesus – he was tempted or involved with Mary. A historian in Washington state thought he was gay
Such stupidity should be stopped immediately. I would suggest become an atheist, don’t follow any religion rather than entertaining such foolish thinking
Eventually gods mysterious forces works it’s miracle and karma is delivered to all.
So be careful in your thoughts, actions, and speech
The Master seldom made even the slightest preparation for his lectures; if he prepared anything at all, it might consist of a factual note or two, hastily jotted down. Very often, while riding in the car on the way to the temple, he would casually ask one of us: “What is my subject today?” He would put his mind on it, and then give the lecture extemporaneously from an inner reservoir of divine inspiration.
The subjects for Gurudeva’s sermons at the temples were set and announced in advance. But sometimes his mind was working in an entirely different vein when he began to speak. Regardless of the “subject for today,” the Master would voice the truths engrossing his consciousness at that moment, pouring forth priceless wisdom in a steady stream from the abundance of his own spiritual experience and intuitive perception.
Nearly always, at the close of such a service, a number of people would come forward to thank him for having enlightened them on a problem that had been troubling them, or perhaps for having explained some philosophical concept in which they were particularly interested.
Sometimes, while he was lecturing, the Guru’s consciousness would be so uplifted that he would momentarily forget the audience and converse directly with God; his whole being would be overflowing with divine joy and intoxicating love. In these high states of consciousness, his mind completely at one with the Divine Consciousness, he inwardly perceived Truth, and described what he saw.
On occasion, God appeared to him as the Divine Mother, or in some other aspect; or one of our great Gurus, or other saints, would manifest in vision before him. At such times, even the audience would feel deeply the special blessing bestowed on all present.
During such a visitation of Saint Francis of Assisi, whom Gurudeva deeply loved, the Master was inspired to compose the beautiful poem, “God! God! God!”
The Bhagavad Gita describes an enlightened master in these words: “The Self shines forth like a sun in those who have banished ignorance by wisdom” (V:16).
One might have been overawed by Paramahansa Yogananda’s spiritual radiance, were it not for his warmth and naturalness, and a quiet humility, which put everyone instantly at ease. Each person in the audience felt that Gurudeva’s talk was addressed to him personally. Not the least of the Master’s endearing qualities was his understanding sense of humour.
By some choice phrase, gesture, or facial expression he would bring forth an appreciative response of hearty laughter at just the right moment to drive home a point, or to relax his listeners after long and intense concentration on a particularly deep subject.
One cannot convey in the pages of a book the uniqueness and universality of Paramahansa Yogananda’s vivid, loving personality. But it is my humble hope, in giving this brief background, to afford a personal glimpse that will enrich the reader’s enjoyment and appreciation of the talks presented in this book.
To have seen my Gurudeva in divine communion; to have heard the profound truths and devotional outpourings of his soul; to have recorded them for the ages; and now to share them with all—what joy is mine! May the Master’s sublime words open wider the doors to unshakable faith in God, to deeper love for that One who is our beloved Father, Mother, and Eternal Friend. This is progress. People mate the error of thinking they are advanced. But do you have experiences like this where great saints visit you or God materializes?
Then why do you carry ego? Why do you tell others what to do ? Or make comments?
You are the same as these great saints but carry the burden of ego and ignorance. Get rid Of it !
We want to feel and have others think we are great but why not just simply be great in secret and enjoy divine life? Others don’t need to know About it. Few have the destiny of walking that path
If at any time a deep sorrow, a searing doubt or an intense pain overwhelms you and drives you to despair, there is an infallible way to regain calm and peace.
In the depths of our being there shines a light whose brilliance is equalled only by its purity; a light, a living and conscious portion of a universal godhead who animates and nourishes and illumines Matter, a powerful and unfailing guide for those who are willing to heed his law, a helper full of solace and loving forbearance towards all who aspire to see and hear and obey him. No sincere and lasting aspiration towards him can be in vain; no strong and respectful trust can be disappointed, no expectation ever deceived.
My heart has suffered and lamented, almost breaking beneath a sorrow too heavy, almost sinking beneath a pain too strong.… But I have called to thee, O divine comforter, I have prayed ardently to thee, and the splendour of thy dazzling light has appeared to me and revived me.
As the rays of thy glory penetrated and illumined all my being, I clearly perceived the path to follow, the use that can be made of suffering; I understood that the sorrow that held me in its grip was but a pale reflection of the sorrow of the earth, of this abysm of suffering and anguish.
Only those who have suffered can understand the suffering of others; understand it, commune with it and relieve it. And I understood, O divine comforter, sublime Holocaust, that in order to sustain us in all our troubles, to soothe all our pangs, thou must have known and felt all the sufferings of earth and man, all without exception.
How is it that among those who claim to be thy worshippers, some regard thee as a cruel torturer, as an inexorable judge witnessing the torments that are tolerated by thee or even created by thy own will?
No, I now perceive that these sufferings come from the very imperfection of Matter which, in its disorder and crudeness, is unfit to manifest thee; and thou art the very first to suffer from it, to bewail it, thou art the first to toil and strive in thy ardent desire to change disorder into order, suffering into happiness, discord into harmony.
Suffering is not something inevitable or even desirable, but when it comes to us, how helpful it can be!
Each time we feel that our heart is breaking, a deeper door opens within us, revealing new horizons, ever richer in hidden treasures, whose golden influx brings once more a new and intenser life to the organism on the brink of destruction.
And when, by these successive descents, we reach the veil that reveals thee as it is lifted, O Lord, who can describe the intensity of Life that penetrates the whole being, the radiance of the Light that floods it, the sublimity of the Love that transforms it for ever!
WORDS FROM MOTHER
These words show the depth of love and surrender that is needed for God
It’s a joke Seriously it’s a joke. They are just as bad as many religious leaders. This is my opinion. I don’t mean this in a disrespectful way – but how can anyone know if they have no experience
Why is Philosopher Daniel wrong ? He claims there is no such thing as consciousness it’s just an imagination created by the mind?
Philosopher Nagel states that consciousness is a projection of the mind and senses !
I cannot say what others say or think. They believe that they can reach consciousness by focusing attention on body or imagination or imagining God
Yoga states consciousness is something beyond the mind and senses and logic and can only be experienced
There is a mountain that needs to be climbed. It is called Giri There were millions of people trying to climb it. They all had a luggage of a 1000 kilograms / pounds with them. They went to a guide for information. The guide took money from them. A lot of money. And then showed them drawings of the top of the mountain. Told them, see I was there ! Now you can go there too Just close your eyes. And see that picture in your mind !
And all these people were incredibly happy. Self congratulated themselves
Interpretation
Climbing the mountain is learning the skill of meditation. The guide is a fake guru who has a fake drawing / imagination of what the top of the mountain is like. And shares it with everyone for money. And now he has millions of successful followers
The mountain Giri remains unclimbed!
There was one person who did not join the group. He instantly saw the stupidity. And refused to join the millions.
The soul exists and will continue to dream the existence of a body. Once the body is no longer suitable it leaves it and dreams up a heaven or hell and then another body
This is perpetual and the conditions of the body can change. For example if the world becomes too hot , then the structure of body can change and the soul adapts to it
If there is a God or life after “death” surely it won’t be with a decayed body. The thing that survives, the soul will come up with an alternative. This alternative body – is not part of this dimension – hence it cannot be seen or known by the physical body
Well, with these basics we try to remain reassured. Those who have a firm conviction find their last minutes peaceful. Those who doubt panic. Either case the parting of the body is certain.
If this is the thinking of Hinduism, then why do the Hindus have Mahamrutyunjai mantra ?
Om Tryambakam Yajamahe
Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam
Urvarukamiva Bandhanan
Mrityor Mukshiya Maamritat
We Meditate on the Three-eyed reality
Which permeates and nourishes all like a fragrance.
May we be liberated from death for the sake of immortality,
Even as the cucumber is severed from bondage to the creeper.
Why use the word cucumber ? Why not tomato? Why use the word tryambakam?
You may somewhat understand it but until shiv is reality – the true significance is not known. In the haste and ego of “I know” almost everyone will lose their life by a slight understanding devoid of experience
He is a famous Astro physicist with many incredible discoveries about black hole, Hawking radiation.
He had a disease ALS
He was an atheist and did not believe in God.
So what happens to those who don’t believe in God or Christ or Krishna or SwamiNarayan?
Does God punish them and send them to eternal hell ? Or burn them ? Beat them ?
What rubbish! The concept of God – is kind, compassionate forgiving loving Is he that insecure that just because you don’t think he exists your punished ? Or because you are not baptized or born again? Or did not believe ?
Truth is – he does not care. He is very secure in his existence with or without you. He is there the moment you turn to him.
But turning to him is not easy. It’s not the thoughts but you the soul has to turn
Sadly we talk about soul but not one in a billion has experienced it. It is not the ethereal ghost like body either
When Yukteshwar met Babaji at Kumbh Mela – Babaji addresses him and said Swamiji will you write a book on my behalf?
The words Babaji uttered were a blessing with all spiritual powers given to him at that instant!
When some people give blessings, ignorant people don’t understand the blessings and reject it
God gives such blessings through spiritual people but most of the time the blessings are not understood and rejected
So is it unfair? Not at all. It is a subtle test of respect toward the Guru. Most of the time it is absent
Yogananda said that many times. His Guru subtly hinted many things but most of the time the followers were unable to receive
That’s why in the Bible it is said ” to all those who received he gave them the power of being the sons if God” meaning it is not easy to receive when there is ego – ego of being great or ego of being nothing
Why do people’s people go through life without any spiritual progress ?
Their own intelligence hurts them You could be Einstein or Stephen Hawkins – but at some point you get trapped with your thoughts
In spirituality also , you may read my blogs, agree with a few things and don’t agree with a few. The right way to read is – not saying I don’t agree – but say I don’t understand
You can only do that with a true yogi However the darkness in you, from reading wrong things on the internet will prevent you
I prefer to be left alone. Follow other blogs. When your time is ripe you will understand. Until then enjoy the world !
A rare soul realizes that there is little happiness in worldly activity. For a lot of effort and much struggle, we find happiness in this world
And eventually it is snatched away from us.
Is there an easier way to happiness in life ?
Of course there is. Such Yogi are rare. It is more likely to happen for those who are genuinely nice, those who wish happiness to others even when others are mean.
To be nice , with every cell of your body resonating with wishes of happiness for others is rare It takes an advanced yogi to become that way. Pavahari baba – described by Vivekananda was one. Ramkrishna was that way too.
I often wish that no one read by blogs. That way I can stop writing
Hiranyakashipu had a sister named holika. His son was Prahlada
Prahlada refused to give up praying to Vishnu. Hiranyakashipu got angry and ordered Prahlad death. Multiple attempts were made.
In one attempt he asks Prahlad to sit in a pile of sticks with holika. Holika was immune to fire provided she had a shawl. The end result was she look ok st her shawl and in the fire she does it Prahlad lives
Finally Prahlada is ordered to embrace a burning pole and from the poke Lord Narsinh appears and he kills Huranyakashipu
The story is a beautiful story if steps ok f Yoga. However, since this is public blog, I cannot give the true meaning
An easy to understand meaning is as follows
Hiranyakashipu is ego and it always wants to take credit for everything in life. His sister Holika is fake bhakti which is loyal to ego. Prahlada is true bhakti
Eventually in the trials of life fake bhakti dies but only true bhakti will live
99% of the people have fake bhakti. It is done for material gains or to impress others.
Writing blogs falls in category of fake bhakti. It is done to impress others. Going to bhajan, Kirtan, singing dancing is also often fake. Display of kiya yoga in public is a crime against the purity of Shakti. She is not to be displayed many people are guilty of it
People sing bhajan in nice voices. It may impress people but does not impress God. This shiv ratri I saw someone spend a fortune and do tandav dance -. Shiv gave up riches seeing wealth as something worthless. How can you impress shiv ?
The list of imposter bhakti – Love fir Hod us long
Can you love God while burning with tremendous worldly pain ? There was only one Prahlad !
There is an inherent foolishness in people. They believe that reading about God , maybe saying some mantra or a prayer or firmly believing in Advaita and you are there.
But such is not the case
The soul has to be first experienced. It is encased in three phases at all times. Wakefulness, sushupti and sukshma One has to go beyond it and then one can surrender and love God
Until then one remains enmeshed in 3 Gunas – of virtue, vice and indolence.
Once liberated from them – taste of love for God arises. One sees everything as a marvel. Slowly the imperfections of people – which we hate – are seen in better light. Forgiveness and repent
Why give up the Marvel of God for a world that is imperfect and treacherous ?
You need someone to walk you through each h step. Otherwise you can only understand my words based on the physical world. Not based on the secrets of God
People who follow different paths – Scientology for example – get stuck in their own maze created by their mind
Some may believe that truth lies in other planets or universes and desperately search for it. They go from books or “research” searching for clues and evidence. However , it is worthless they then get depressed and feel lonely since they don’t have anyone who shares their views
This does not mean that aliens or other species don’t exist. They do. But you may not get the same intelligence like us. They reach God , at times by a more direct simplicity. And some don’t ever get to God for a long time
Yogananda has written about other species. So has Trailoki baba
But information based on imagination and nit direct perception will leave you lost and sad
In India there is no rain in winter. So the moisture in the air condenses and gives water to the plant
During the dry times in our life – the invisible spiritual blessings condense to feed us by the act of remaining “cool” or “calm” Calmness is the act of meditation where the mind is less active
We are surrounded by spiritual blessings of great people and their positive vibrations left over while they still had a body helps us get rid of difficulties in life
This is why pilgrimage was suggested. Or Satsang – sitting at the feet of these great yogi helps immensely. However such Yogi prefer to remain aloof, away from people
There are other great Yogi who remain active but no one can understand them recognize them. Yoga is not meant for public display.
You are the divine. You gave forgotten it. A book can tell you that but does it wake you up ? You can follow what you want or who you want or pinch yourself.
You still will not wake up and know your the divine
But my guru is Yogananda, or I believe in shankaracharya or Krishna – still all you did not wake up – all you did was get egotistic – but your still in spiritual slumber
But I follow their teachings and method to wake up ! GOOD LUCK is all I can say.
You still don’t know your divine aspect
Isn’t it simple ? Find an awakened Guru He will have all the answers and if your lucky can wake you up. Yet a true Guru is very rare
And yet the world will continue its ignorant slow, almost stagnant process of trying to wake up
What some people think is love for God is nothing more than fear – if I don’t do this bad things will befall or it is gratefulness- oh thank you that you did these things for me
But that is a business deal. Not love. To know love for God you need someone to teach you.
Read your books. Or follow your faith. But it won’t lead you to love for God
I write – very few read and those who read don’t get it
I don’t like reading great quotes. They are not so great ! They describe the goal people think it is the method Like I said previously in my other blog – the cart before the horse
The word lent comes Latin meaning spring or even more ancient to grow longer
It is the beginning of spring and the days go longer
Christians practice lent by fasting in one way or the other. Later the practice became giving up a few items , generally food for 40 days
The real number was perhaps 36 days and it is done till Easter
The number 36 or the word Easter is not random. They have a yogic significance. Jesus also had fasted for 40 days in his life
In a public blog many things are not revealed
For example in yoga sutras it is mentioned sayama prapti is the first step in yoga. It refers to doing dharna, dhayana and samadhi all 3 at the same time !!!
As such this blog is not advertised and displayed sloppily
The book I wrote is even sloppier
I have no need or use for readers. Neither am I burdened with thought of helping others or converting others or guiding others All those things would take me away from the divine
If you think you know, this is not the blog for you. I would encourage you to go elsewhere, preach, guide and make money.
On the other hand if you know a little or nothing, your earnest desire is to be with God, your looking for clarity in the religion, religious books or even clarity in being an atheist, then these blogs can help give you some clarity
Everything written here is accurate. However, even all laws of physics fall apart at quantum level. All that I wrote will be seen with a varying degree of clarity as you progress.
So the only way to read it , is to have a clear mind, read again, and every time you read there will be a more precise understanding. The word is final but your understanding is not final. That has to grow with contact of a guru
Contrary to what the internet and almost books say – it is very superficially in the body with most of its inner divine aspect lying within They are called chores, vajra and then brahma Nadi
Yogananda has described the location and function of those sheaths appropriately in God talks with Arjuna
This is the place to go for prayers. This is the tunnel which people describe in near death experience.
Without this sushumna opening – one cannot meet God
Why delay ? Go within
Of course you can find thousands of fakes who have read about it and talk about it – but they expose their ignorance and reveal their real intention – money and fame
It is very important to have patience while “repenting”. Hurting yourself or begging forgiveness is not repenting.
To do those things is an act of transgressions- since you were made in the image of God
Some of the key elements in repenting include
Patience
Never to repeat the error again
Follow the guidance of a true Guru
Love for God
There are a few other elements in it but I must refer the reader to Gita, books by Yogananda, Yukteshwar and a wise Guru who can interpret the Bible
In Matthew there is a quote – And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not take the literal meaning. Instead ask a Guru what it means
He is not Bhole. He is Bholenath – the protector of Bhole
Bhole – someone who is easily deceived
What about the story of Bhasmasur. – where he was deceived ? You misunderstood the story.
Shiv never has Avatar. He may send afraction of himself. The world cannot hear the full greatness of Shiv
It is sad and unfortunate for some religions to not pray to Shiv (example some sects of swaminarayana or Nanak ). The words of the great ones are very hard to follow
How can you understand the beauty of Shiv ? When you have not seen him or understood him ? Neel – blue neck, snake around him, surrounded by “ghosts” moon on forehead, ganga in hair and long braided hair ? Oh what a beautiful description – only a Yogi knows what I said !
The sign of an awakened Shakti is immediate love for Shiv ! If love for Shiv is not there – much cleaning of heart is needed Thus is the description of an awakened Shakti !
The prison is our own thought. The thought that god exists or the thought he does not exist. The thought that someone is good or evil. The thought I am smart or the thought I am stupid Get out of the prison of your perception and thought
Once upon a time a very eager man sought refuge at the feet of a very divine Guru. The Guru was wise and all knowing
The disciple was very eager and not subdued. He asked the Guru , ” please oh great Guru, tell me how to reach nirvana”
The Guru paused. Looked the disciple and beyond the disciples body “I can tell you but you are not ready. You will not understand”
The disciple knew it won’t be easy. He persisted. By now the Guru was tired. He finally revealed the truth “Go and become a master of Sanskrit. All answers are there”
The disciple bowed and took permission from Guru and departed. He found the greatest scholar and started to learn the language Sanskrit! 20 years passed by and the disciple was a master at it
One fine morning the disciple woke up and realized he knows Sanskrit but has not reached Nirvana
Hastily he returned to the Guru and complained ! The Guru smiled and said ” your still a child ”
But Sir, I did exactly what you told me!
The Guru replied, “you did exactly what you thought I said! I told you to be a master of Sanskrit. And what did you do? You learnt the language ! I was not talking about the spoken language Sanskrit”
The disciple became dejected. He somewhat understood his flaw.
Part 2 to follow. Maybe
Most of the readers fall in this category. I write things and in general they believe they understood what I said but they miss their mark.
Certain things are very easily misunderstood. Master Sanskrit is not the same as learning the language or mastering it
The easiest way is to love God. And God more than anything in this world
Ain that situation the results are immediate. But it is not easy to love God. Something unseen. Unknown. And the mind constantly doubts am I doing the right thing?
Now there are some confused souls. They hear about God. Based on books. Or their guru. And they develop a concept. They believe that concept and fall in love with that concept. That is not love
Meditation is the art of silencing the mind. When the mind is silenced, then live for God arises. Till then Bhakti does not start.
Doing mantra, kirtan , going to temples, discussions, reading books DO NOT HELP. In those situations, the mind creates and image of God and then it worships that image. It is still a very good thing but it is one step short of actually talking with God directly.
Mantra given by a siddha is very helpful. Discussion with a siddha helps clarify the wrong beliefs. Reading books written by a siddha helps in a similar way.
However meditation is the most direct way. Those who cannot meditate and those who cannot silence their mind have to resort to other methods like above
Thus silencing the mind and meditation is a skill. For an adept yogi , it is as simple as turning off the switch. All he does is close his eyes, his inner purity and the gift of his Guru gives him a direct perception of God and his mind is silenced. That’s all !
A guru loves it when he can find a disciple of that caliber. Such a disciple is very rare. One in a billion or less.
Books will tell you to silence mind and absorb in God but they won’t show you the method. For this you must spend time with a Guru, repeatedly use his help to silence it – and this will take years and years of learning the finer millions of subtle steps – till it becomes a simple technique
Most people will live a meaningless life – only seeking enjoyment in this world. Of course it is not meaningless but from a spiritual standpoint – since no effort has been placed to find your own consciousness- it lost its purpose.
It is very important to spend some time -to figure out what consciousness is. The answer is NOT found in books or talking but is found in deep meditation only. Once this central core is reached – many answers are automatically revealed and discussion with other ceases. For what avail is discussion.
The consciousness exists in all dimensions – 11 of them. It is always fully aware of it in all dimensions. How can an enlightened person explain consciousness or the experience in other dimensions. It is to be experienced ! Even if I tried to explain it – you will only imagine it but not reach it
Hence Guru are silent ! Who can they tell what it is ?
1) 1-5 describe Kriya Yoga. Every sentence , in my opinion , describe kriya
2) 6-13 Describe what should happen when kriya is perfected This includes vishva Darshan
3) the remaining 5 chapters talk about the forces that prevent you from perfection. Here he talks about three gunas. But Lord Krishna omitted certain levels above three Gunas
Moreover there are certain chapters in Gita that have been lost but available to a few select Guru / Yogis
Of course this is my belief. I prefer no one believe me or follow me. There are many other Guru more suitable for you
It reminds me – swami Gangadhar tirrhji had only one disciple. Ramkrishna had only a few disciples – I believe some people used inner circle for it
A worthy disciple is very rare. Even yogendra Vigyani – the guru of Vishnu tirthji maharaja said – who knows if there ever will be a disciple worthy of higher diksha in Kaliyuga
Yet inspite of all the CT, PET or MRI scan we are yet to see the chakras
Was or is Yoga a lie ?
It is the utter foolishness of ALL the web pages, that ignorance makes an average person believe they exist in the gross body !
Chakras are accurate but you have to be extremely advanced to experience it. Advanced to such a degree that the forces of Maya / delusion are weak !
Yogananda said in god talks with Arjuna – it takes years of practice in the presence of a Guru to experience it
Although he described it in detail – like all other perfected individuals- it is my belief he left critical information out of it. He even stated – due to certain spiritual injunctions he is not able to say more
Even if your lucky to meet a guru , he probably won’t explain much – it will takes years of practice before they can show more.
They show it – not explain it !
I constantly yearn for such a Guru to come again !
Such teachers don’t talk much about mundane things. Their goal is to wake up disciple from the dream of life. After all you are the divine. Why do you constantly want to dream ?
First you should have a firm experience about religion
Going off based on things you have read will not convince them. You can preach all you like about re birth or karma from past birth and tell all the stories , you will not be able to convince a smart modern day teenager. They are skeptical. Ask for more proof
Unless you have lived a spiritual life you will not be able to convince them because what you teach is different than your actions
This is very true especially for Hollywood or Bollywood parents.
In the final run , everyone is born with past tendencies and that will shape your beliefs. Some will believe in meditation others in mantra and others in “knowledge without experience”. just mental masturbation. Which produces nothing
In the vicinity of a divine Guru even the most atheist can be converted by his will. Such Guru are very rare
If you look up online – you will find millions of ideas, support groups, books, religious leaders and gurus – they all have a solution to your problems
Why does it not work? Perhaps we don’t implement it? Perhaps it was destiny or karma? Or bad luck?
Truth is there us one thing missing. The blessings of God or even better blessings of a divine Guru
So if I go to a guru and my problems are solved is that a divine Guru? Of course not! But this is the tragedy that create cults and massive followers – such coincidental things. The fake Gurus know this and capitalize on this, fake propaganda and entertaining people by logic, using fear tactics ( if you don’t do this something bad will happen ) and false promises of grandeur in the after life
Please stay away from them. Also stay away from my blogs. A Guru does not want disciples or followers. He is just there
Vivekananda in 1890’s talked about India freedom and even referred to some great souls like Subhash Chandra Bose
While traveling through Saurashtra, Vivekananda was upset at seeing the demolished Indian temples. He thought he would have defended the temples at all costs Kali immediately appeared before him and asked do You protect me or I protect you ? :)
The divine roots of India can never be conquered. It was a little play – of republic and Independence
The divine vibrations left by Shankar by materializing at Jyotirling, a land where Ramkrishna was/is, the great saints like Kabir Mirabai were there – are still alive. In its full effulgence
We err by going to the temples and seeing the mud, poverty and let disgust fill our mind. Be like Arjun – go there with heart full of love and desire to see the divine and not even noticing anything else !
One thing is certain – you will never cease to exist. Consciousness will always be !
The body or multiple bodies may die – yet the spark of the divine – what people call soul will ever exist
A yogi tries to merge the soul in God
It is only after that God becomes a true reality. Till then – it is like a possibility with glimpses of certitude
So if by chance your reading this blog, do the following – never never give up the search for the divine That constant effort will continue from birth to birth till your journey is over – till your merged in Divine
If you give up the search , think it is just a folk lore , who knows where your path will lead you to ? In one birth you may be Indian, then from Europe or Africa or China – your faith will change from birth to birth Where will you be? Why not work very hard so this beautiful path of Yoga continues with you ?
Don’t hate anyone or any religion. They all try their best. Sadly some people journey is wayward- seeking the world instead of God
Let them be.
If your fortunate to read these words, wake up my child ! Wake up ! Stop searching pleasure in the world but find the pleasure in the path to God. If you can’t succeed on your own, find someone to help you.
A Guru is a must. He helps in many ways more than you can imagine.
The difference in level of spiritual consciousness between an enlightened being and a normal being is a million times greater than the difference in consciousness of a human and a stone ( this difference in consciousness is minuscule according to Mother )
I merely repeated what they said. Again this difference is based on awareness of consciousness and NOT knowledge or information.
Most readers are constantly seeking to read and understand but not one person wants to give up reading and receive the power of that supreme consciousness by the grace of the Guru. This grace gives all the understanding of all spirituality, vedas upanishads etc
Such a guru is rare. Yogananda said even if such a guru is found if he gave that grace the disciple would not be able to endure it and would die
Who knows if any of this is true. It might be just a blind belief
Meditation is directed towards getting rid of the discursive behavior of the mind and then the mind itself
Since any attempt to control the mind is an immense challenge to begin with , it is easy to understand alcohol is a no no.
The harder thing to understand is the role of non vegetarian food and meditation. The effects of non veg to the mind is not immediate but takes years to manifest. Hence it is likely to be not understood. Vivekananda gave a comparison between an elephant ( standing majestically) who is vegetarian and a restless prowling lion that only lives on meat.
The truth is far more difficult to grasp and even more difficult to experience. From fear of transgressing spiritual laws I cannot state certain things, but certain diets are known to bring stuporous states – which a hasty ignorant person can equate to the nothingness of Brahma. Of course this stuporous state is far from the fullness of Brahma
Some may argue that this diet restrictions is related to living and non living. However, we know that there is life in plants too
The final most difficult thing to understand is the question of eggs. Eggs can be Unfertilized. Yet they are prohibited for meditation
The guru who is capable of giving you the highest would like to see the seeds of the highest grow in the disciple. This seed of sohum WILL NOT grow if the disciple will not adhere to the diet for decades.
The disciple may lie but the discerning divine guru automatically knows the right thing. The divine Goddess will refuse to grow or let the Guru give awakening in these situations
Some people argue that Jesus ate meat etc on occasion. Jesus forgave the people who crucified him even though he was in excruciating pain. Can you do that ?
When a yogi tells his experiences, we just can’t believe it because no matter what we don’t experience it!
Hence we think there is another logical explanation or just a story or the person fibbed
The truth is we did not work hard enough, we did not try emotional purity and did not have love for God or the desire to be liberated. We just wanted to enjoy the world
Lahiri Mahashaya had an ageless divine guru Babaji
Inspite of getting the highest initiation he struggled for 10 years to reach perfection. In his diary he talks about how often sexual desire and other faults would creep up and he had to fight it. During those times he meditated hours together several times a day
Reaching perfection is hard work. After the shakti is awakened
Present day Guru take you on the road of logic, laziness and give you false hopes. They give you imaginary meditation without any experiences. They say chant the name of God or have you say sohum “I am God” and increase your ego and tell you you have reached pure consciousness nothingness when all you did is become inert like a stone – abhav yoga
In Manu smruti – it is said that a being fake guru is a big sin. Who is a fake guru? A Guru who has not had shakti awakened as per Lahiri Mahashaya. Yogananda had a stricter definition. What I have learnt is such fake Guru are punished severly if by chance there is a sincere true disciple and he gets stuck there. Fortunately such disciples are rare.
Most people who follow spiritually have weak desires of fame, money, looking for excuses to escape from work responsibility, hoping to meet women in organizations etc, or looking for intelligent debate.
No one wants to do the very hard, demanding work of silencing the mind, getting rid of desires, being insulted multiple times ( a strategy that helps…… ) etc
Reaching perfection is hard work the road is full of amazing experiences – far greater than any text written. That is just my opinion
That is why I urge anyone who reads by blog to go elsewhere. There are many other great guru out there who can help you with your desires for fame sex money and give you a lot of intellectual debate
What I write is meant for someone who loves God, and is tired of the evil selfish greed of the world
Lazy, ignorant people full of materialistic desires such as fame money sex food come up with very convenient lies for liberation or being with God
These lies include, just say gods name or mantra or I will sprinkle holy water or taking bath in Ganga or going to religious places and giving offerings or I believe in Krishna or Jesus or swaminarayan or my guru – these are all lies none of those things help. Some believe reading books and understanding it is freedom. Stupidity They maybe in some instances a stepping stone provided you have love for God and you are pure in your deeds and have NO MATERIALISTIC DESIRES
WITHOUT FULL LOVE FOR GOD NOTHING IS POSSIBLE
Of course I could be wrong but I prefer love for God, wanting to do good deeds etc very important also
If you are tired of the world, you have no desire for things or fame or food or sex in the world, you don’t want to be a Guru or teacher, you want to be liberated and not even desire for pleasures of heaven, you love God more than anything, – then and only then are you ready to be a Yogi
It is only then a great Guru will come to you. Until then slowly patiently work on aspiring those qualities. Other wise even a great Guru in front of you will be of no avail
